These kind of highway intersections are dangerous. Trying to cross 2 lanes to get to the median strip so you can try to get across another 2 lanes.
Wouldnt a stop light help?
At least they should take away making a U-turn there that’s crazy
Every single cut through on that route needs to be closed off. I hate that stretch of road. It's a death trap. I bet there's no traffic cameras out there because VDOT knows the public will see how bad it is.
I lived off Ruritan Blvd in Suffolk back in 2003, we were calling for something to be done back then.
I used 58 a couple of times this past winter. I remember the old stretch of 58, and it is still just as dangerous as it has ever been. High-speed , close quarters, telephones , and some who have no business on the roads are the recipes for tragedy. It's the only route for some people, and I wonder if enforcing the speed limit would help!?
I take this road to VA beach every year on my way back north in the winter. I've never seen a major highway with this amount of traffic that works like this any other part of the country. Absolutely nuts. Hopefully this man's family pushes for change, this is the only way things get done
VDOT is fully aware of how dangerous route 58 is.
Put a traffic light in
Yes, it's sad, but as a truck driver, no one assis us or cares about letting us In over or through anything on the road. People need to realize that if we make a wrong turn or get lost, we have to make decisions to get back on track in large areas. Give us a break. Just think we are delivering for you
Truck drivers doing the speed limit, keeping right and not tailgating would help a whole lot.
@6time686 your FUNNY, especially if you never drove a truck. No matter what, 4wheelers hate us, but you want your goods. So the only thing that would help is your sore shelves are bare.
@@Sonic357 If I starve... you starve. Keep right and do the speed limit please.
How did being on two wheels help you? A Bridge Too Far
i saw that type of highwaty in maryland... who the hell designed it. at one point i was speeding thru 2 highways no lights, im really good at frogger tho so i survived
IT'S ALWAYS A VOLVO

Poor planning by state highway planners. Population growth with little funding by a state that cares for bike paths for the wealthy than practical public safety
The biker means illegally cutting lanes
