there's one solution to dribbling problem, don't scout forward or back position for young players, scout midfielders for youth academy, they still have some problems in heading, but dribbling would be normal. then turn them into other position, because they are midfielders, it's pretty easy to turn them to other position.
Hey guys, the youth tournament is very good, it shortens the time that they need for their current development plan. One of my talents needed 17 weeks before the youth game vs Watford, then after the game it was only 15 weeks and after the final match (which I lost), it was like 12 or 11 weeks.
It doesn’t make sense to have 13 to 14 year olds in the game for YA if the whole career mode only goes to 15 seasons. It would be awesome to be like Madden and have decades to grow legends and a dynasty
I don’t know why they haven’t introduced it so you can take your career mode from game to game. I spend days, weeks,months developing a team for them to release a new version and I have to start all over again. 😂😂
The youth tournaments do matter 1: They affect the match xp stat in the youth development plans which seems to make them grow faster once it is good or very good 2: It seems that every match played takes some weeks off the current development plan, I have had several players go up in overall at the end of the game.
The fact some countries have only 1 surname is throwing me off so much, and it doesn't seem like a bug (like the low diving and dribbling) but just pure laziness. Just fix it, edit the damn txt file and insert some surname, ea. The faces are terrible, they promised progressive aging faces but nothing, they look like 13 year olds at 30.

I find that the potential drops for some of my players after winning tournaments, I'm not sure if this is just because of how youth development works in career mode anyway though
It doesn't matter if you win the tournament. It all comes down to their average rating per game. If all of your players are always rated at 8 per game... their highest potential will be in their 80s.
I absolutely love how i cant just scout a country, i have to choose a position instead of just giving me random players from the country i want them from
the lower league loan route is still the king though, I loaned out a 17 year old 63 ovr left winger and by January, he shot up to 77 ovr, the only negative is that because dribbling as a stat is bugged atm, it was 20+ less than everything else in his overrall dribbling rating.
Youth tournaments help players get match XP usually it goes up to average instead of poor if they aren't in tournaments. This will help them grow faster during the 2 months in between tournaments. They will also develop a lot quicker into their Roles and get role + or role++ faster. I've had multiple youth players earn a role + after playing a full tournament with them.
I finally found how to give my goalkeepers playstyle+. i tried this with 3 players and they all had a playstyle+. they were all academy keepers, i loaned them out 2x times then on the third loan he randomly got a upgrade on a playstyle+ mid season. the 2 first loans were 1y and the third was 0/5 loan. So i think the loan system has influence on keepers and their playstyles. Also, i played a youthplayer 88-94 from 61-80 in the first team. then i loaned him out to a premier L club and he went from 80-88 in 10 matches, did the same with the same youthplayer and loaned him out to a Belgium club and he gained only 80-82 in a season. So i think the leagues matter but only on the loaning mechanic.
it is crazy to me that EA hasn't given the youth academy the ability to train play styles onto the youth players. They could have just let youth players come with no play styles and have each development plan have its own pool of playstyles that the player would possibly gain after progressing through the development plan
It‘s due to the lack of competition. If EA would have a serious competitor in terms of football games, they would actually be forced to be innovative and get the best out of their devs instead of being absolutely lazy and just give us a slightly updated version of the previous years game just like they always do. There’s so much potential for the career mode.

I would change the amount of money it costs you to send a youth scout out for example 3 months in England costs £120 thousand but in Australia it’s £90 thousand for 9 months ? If you are doing a realistic RTG what league 2 club can afford £120 thousand for 3 months. So I think the country that you are managing in should the cheapest to scout.
Not sure if anyone realised, but last year the number of stars required for coaching increased based on the amount of playstyles you have in your team. I only noticed this through using the playstyle glitch

I think that AI teams use the youth academy now because I saw an 87 rated English left back on Ipswich and an 86 rated German GK on Real Valladolid with has potential to be special both in year 2
I guess developing players into the player you want is more important than having high ratings. I always train the speed of my CBs and always make sure all my players have a least 4 star week foot and strikers to have 5 star week foot

But playtime heavily mattered last year?? I had this striker Sinclair Armstrong (absolute beast by the way) who had “showing great potential” from the start. After te first season (in which he had the contract role Rotation) he grew to “had potential to be special”. He had an insane first season. For the second season I gave him a Crucial role in his contract. I like to rotate however so he played about 70% of the matches. Just like the year before, and he had an even more insane season. He was however unhappy about his playtime as he had Crucial. After that second season he immediately dropped from “has potential to be special” to just “at the club since …”. So a MASSIVE drop off in potential.

Can you touch on if you have the time of course which countries come up with the best variety of names too or ones that don't. If you scout Kenya you only get players called Hassan. Which is really annoying. It's ideal to know before hand which countries have proper terminology in youth player names before starting a scouting report. Something I was hoping was going to be improved upon this year. Updated youth player names and double-barrel surnames would be a nice addition.

i would bring in full youth leagues like in real life like the u21s n have your prospects playing youth football until you promote them then send them on loan ..

I played the youth tournaments and to me it does help them develop a bit faster because after winning the tournament one of my youth players did go from OVR 60 to 61 and upgraded his role to ++

Rush definitely at least providing a small benefit - I've had multiple players achieve the player position/upgrade to the player position they were working towards prior to the tournament. I'm not sure what the metric is for when they acquire those positions though. Still v underwhelming.
I would change the players faces to look less ugly. On a side what I like is I can now run a scenario with a lot more realism etc a club is bankrupt and has to sell all players above the age of 21

They should instead make the overall of the player grow under 2 factors, player note per game, facing team overall. besides, sharpness and morale is a very good idea, and should get even more impacts in game.
I would change the players from looking like girls. stop them asking to be to be put in the first team when they are not ready. have goalkeepers diving much improved instead of always in the tens or lower, i know they grow fast when the get older but still it shouldnt be that low. having heading much improved.
Why would anyone want to use Youth players or indeed any of the AI generated player when they look like characters from Oblivion...only worse. And don't get me started on how bad the Player body's are (Pro tip: They are the same for ALL players in the game and less defined than my last Fifa game, Fifa 22) Reply

The biggest change for me apart from the stat bugs is the rarity of elite prospects. It felt far too easy to get 94 max pot in previous years

It's weird as well because the YA names from Armenia are all Sarkesian but I've seen YA SCOUTS from Armenia with names other than that

Having a player grow that much through a loan is just practically a game glitch at this point.. ridiculous system they have here
@@aries666dc It seems to only happen sometimes to players with 89-94 potential though, if it is not a glitch, it is rare to happen anyways.

You should do more rigorous testing on player potentials

When you play players in the youth academy is says their Match XP has gone up. I'm not sure how exactly Match XP factors in to development though.
