I’m am a retired tool and die welder, use to heat treat all types of steel, I can assure you nothing will happen to the traps till the temp. Gets over 400 degrees, boiling water will only get to 212 degrees on a good day, thought I would share that with you, great videos, I’ve been watching all of yours, have a great trapping season

Nice home you have. Wow you spent some money. Minnesota trap line sure are good people to do business with. I think it's pretty cool that they give you a free gift depending how much money you spend. I also shop at PCS Outdoors. They have flat rate shipping $5.95 for lures and books , videos. That's the best around. If I would wash them in our bath tub omg my wife would be very pissed. I use the dishwasher . I squirt them down with a degreaser and then fill the soap dispenser up with Dawn. I could see my ass falling in the shower Not getting all of the oil out of the tub. Enjoyed watching. Thanks for sharing. Happy new year 2019

Can you use these right away after this? Trying to degrease conibear 110

    • @paparomesoutdoors711

you can, depends what your trapping for. Trapping any K9 or certain animals requires a process of boiling, dyeing and waxing usually to make them scent proof and protected from elements.

212⁰ isn't hot enough to take any temper from steal. Welding burning in a fire yeah 🔥. I boil with scent free laundry detergents.

Boiling doesnt get so hot it could damage the traps. Im a blacksmith so I should know.

No coyote or dog could straighten out those j hooks. Maybe an elephant could.
