I love the novice spec buyers who proclaim "...but this time, it's different" for every rookie prospect in every sport. We've seen may too many busts than boons. Smart spec has buyers come in after the "IPO" of a card's debut. If you want to get at the perceived "ground floor" of a player's 1st licensed card released the odds are you're going to fail, especially if you spread your bets across multiple players in every sport, you'll most likely lose more than win. I'd say, Id rather pay a higher premium for a player's card after they've had 2 great seasons or 3+ good seasons increasingly improving.. The transition for amateurs to become professional is especially difficult in the NFL and Quarrterback position. If you listed every 1st Round Draft Pick who was a QB in the past 20 years, you'll see so many names (not just Jamarcus Russell either) who not only failed to live up to their advanced billing hype, but many couldn't even earn a back-up role, let alone a starting job. Do you wager on Julian "Juju" Lewis, the high school QB and his Leaf cards now? I made the mistake of wagering on former five star prospect, Max Browne (his 2012 Leaf) who was dealt a series of unfortunate scenarios at USC and Pittsburgh (2013-2017) and went undrafted. Sometimes, you just need patience to wait if you're not a gambler. Wait it's worth paying more later when a player earns their card values through actualized performance not projected potential.. The player I'd probably buy into is Zion Williamson because, out of the gate, he was overpriced, then his injuries cause a downward slide and this past year, I feel he's shown improvement.
He inherited a terrible team when drafted in 2021 with an even worse coach. In his 2nd year, he has a much better coach, better weapons and more experience. Your take that his playoff run in 2022 was "okay" is a little funny. He had one of the greatest comebacks in playoff history against the chargers. Got out of his head, showed poise, and got it done. Then they go to Arrowhead and put up a very good fight against the Chiefs. Let's not forget that at 8-3 last year, the Jags were the favorites of being AFC's #1 seed. Then he got injured. He fought through that injury because he doesn't quit. He continued to sustain multiple injuries coasting into the end of the season. Jax has made giant moves this offseason to provide him protection going into next year. His new contract wasn't done in panic. It was done because his team sees what he's capable of and his continual growth. But yeah man, he's the Next Mac Jones.

Guess he’s just average being the youngest player in NFL history to throw four touchdown passes in the postseason
Ya average 🤣🤣🤣🤣
You are on point about Lawrence.
🧢
btw !!! For all of you that love to play the game on paper!!! 📝
Tlaw has 11,770 passing yards & that is the fifth-most in NFL history by a player after three seasons. (Mic drop) 💀
Thats because he was only 1 of 3 qbs to start 50 games. His actual yards per game (6.7) is worse than his backup Mac Jones. (6.8) Even Justin Fields avg 7.0.Heres the mic 🎤 back. Try again.
@@blakeknower incorrect
Your already wrong 😆 Mac Jones is Tlaws backup
✅
The public isn't always right.
Not accurate at all
He did an interview with cc2 sometime back did a photo with him in shorts you could c his knee that thing looked ugly don't know if he'd ever had trouble with it that was a hard pass
Tlaw is NOT him…Ive been saying that
Trevor had weapons last year and let everyone down. I think he's a middle of the road qb at best now. 55 million for him is just ludicrous.
Yeah but most of his weapons were hurt or suspended
Couldn’t agree more!!
I don't think he's it... good QB, but only greatness or hype/potential drives the sports card market. We've seen what he is... he'll drift in and out of the playoffs for the next 6 or 7 years then fade into obscurity as other QBs start to drive the market.
JOSH Allen..and MAHOMES...rest are all Mac Jones..RG3
😂😂😂😂 -100 on this lesson.
I’ve been saying from the start that Lance, Lawrence & Herbert are average NFL QBs at best… needless to say I didn’t buy the hype so I never lost money on these bums! lol
T-Law is 2-0 against Herbert. How are you putting him ahead of T-Law?
Sounds like you should tell people not to buy sports cards at all and you will be right basically all the time
How do you have a job doing this?
Where was he wrong? I see him throwing stats up. What do you have to prove otherwise?
@@chefchrissell the game isn’t played on paper
@@DUVALTV and stats don’t lie. So what’s your point? TLaw has the most turnovers in the NFL since he was drafted and has played like crap in the playoffs. That happened in real life, not on paper
@@chefchrissell played like crap in the playoffs???
He’s the youngest player in nfl history to throw 4 tds in the postseason.
@@DUVALTV and also have 5 total int’s with 2 fumbles in just two post season appearances so what’s your point?
No doubt
oh yeah dont buy anybody but will greir and geoffs topps card!
Dont believe the hype. The Jags taking on Mac lit a fire under his ass. He will have a MUCH better year...mark my words.
(Altho as a BIG holder still of some Mac cards,I hope you are right)
Thank Goodness I didn't invest in any of those bums!
Not a reach. Lawrence has been good, but has he given a ROI for his collectors, not a chance!
I don't buy singles nor do I grade cards. So maybe I see it different.
Trevor has Mac Jones competing for the job. Say what you will but this pressure will reveal what type of QB Jacksonville has and perhaps who they will go with mid-season.
Hurts that he’s in the afc south
This video makes no sense. these jokers are trying to make money on Trevor Lawrence before he continues a solid career. They want to influence the market down so they can buy. Mac Jones can’t even be compared to Daniel Jones or Mac Jones. Completely different players.
So, the 'new' Dak? Just going to be able to stack up stats and have a long career but never get that top tier billing. (edit) Ha! I typed this before finishing the entire video.
Mahomes = overrated. I would love to see Lawrence ball out this year...
Good take, I think they paid t-law for what he can be in the future, he has shown glimpses, i think he's only like 24....
T Law is a turnover machine 60 the most since he has entered the league! He is not the best QB in his division and maybe the third best if AR stays healthy.
This dude smoking something 😅this is just a hot take that's all it is
Delete now, not even going to listen, cause for 1 tlaw was the #1 pick vs mac being the 5th qb taken in the draft at like 15, tlaw has already signed a extension , mac has been traded due to never being good , tlaw has shown he's a solid qb at min . What a awful take
✅
This “market mover guy” looks & talks like he is from another planet. Needless content on this video!
This dude is smoking something.
😅 i dont care about no data this was nothing but click bait and a stupid hot take 🤦♂️
Im tired of everyone writing off new QBs when they cant win a super-bowl their first 3 years. Maybe the problem wasn’t Mac but a coach that was concentrating on chasing young tail. Worst video you’ve put up by far.
This is the reason you dont get 55 million a year like him
✅
This guy have awful takes. Trevor has already shown he’s much better than Jones. This guy made a basketball video at the beginning of the season and was dead wrong on every single prediction. This won’t be any different
Just checking in...how's your T-Law portfolio?
I've been saying T Law's cards are done to myself anyway. 😂
Who watches this guys videos? He has no entertainment value, super dry / nerdy, has lots of misleading takes. Seems like he would fit in perfect as the 3rd Sports Card Radio brother.
😅😅 the irony of this comment…
Thanks for commenting! 🤝
We all know the 3rd brother is Tim Dillon. That's just common knowledge.
@@t-pott4504 I think you were attempting to be clever and say that “I am watching”, but I guess I need to explain nuanced wording to everyone online. When I said “who watches this guy” it meant who enjoys watching these videos and agrees with what you are saying.
@@kareempies4341 no that’s not why I said it’s ironic. IYKYK. And you don’t…
@@t-pott4504Are you interested in Goff gold cards ?
Not even close 😂. Trevor Lawrence is nothing like Mac Jones. Some of your takes are intelligent this isn’t one of them. Remove his rookie year than look at his stats. He inherited one of the worst teams in the league and turned that franchise around in 3 years
So.....we should buy! Do the opposite of what this channel says
you must have been the one buying mac jones when i said to sell him too
@t-pott4504 Yeah...that's me. I paid 100k for the 1/1 and was buying base donruss psa 10s for 3k
Lawrence picked the wrong profession in my opinion being model for Mike Amirir would have landed him a huge 💰 & some longevity in that field 😂😂😂😂😂
This is a terrible take and I think you know this. But you want the clicks.
thats what people said about mac jones darnold and baker too!
you’ll see!

@@t-pott4504 Baker Mayfield was actually really good this past season. Though no one watches the Tampa Bay Bucs, so I don't blame you for not knowing that lol.

… numbers don’t lie
@n-sane so when t law has a good year and makes the playoffs what are you guys gonna say then?
@@Gremblin i would admit i was wrong, as i have done in the past. when he stinks and the jags go 3-14, will you be back here to admit i was right?
