- Wrexham's match against Forest Green Rovers being postponed got us thinking to the worst stories of matches being called off...

Rich : finally something “I can hang a hat on” - I was at the Stamford (A), game at 1-1 in a FA Cup tie. There was no demarcation of who was #AFCWxm fan or where they were! There were so few of us supporting !! Furthermore, the home team played in Red! We were in light blue?

February 1st 1979…we (Stockport County) set off for The Racecourse for the fourth consecutive evening and the game was apparently on!…then it began to snow yet again so the match took place on a white pitch. We went 2-0 up and an FA Cup shock was on, what with Wrexham being in the second tier compared to our fourth division status. Of course we lost 2-6 and we trooped miserably away from the Paddock (where your temp stand is now)…and got stuck in snow on the way home so didn’t get back to (not so sunny) Stockport until the small hours…and with it being a Thursday night due to the postponements, I had work at 6am next morning.😂😂😂
