I wish Sofia was added. She met with Official Disney Princesses who taught her lessons. And she freed Elena from the Amulet and helped her save Avalor.
For me, Mirabel is definitely my number one favorite Disney heroine. I love her bubbly personality and her love for her family. I also enjoy Asha and Elena Of Avalor. Speaking of Elena, another princess featured in a Disney Junior show is Sofia from Sofia The First. Although, she is even younger than all of the Disney princesses. While Elena is 16 like some of the other Disney princesses, Sophia is only eight. I sometimes watch her show from time to time, and some of the songs are really good too. She is voiced by Ariel Winter, who I think does a really good job Portraying her younger voice. Though she isn’t part of the official lineup, probably because she is from a TV series, she is still a Disney princess.
What's even cooler about Sofia is that she has three jobs, being the princess of Enchancia, the storykeeper of the Secret Library, and the protector of the EverRealm. This girl has a lot on her plate.
Oh my gosh I’ve never recognized the parallels between Jane and Bell before, but I can see it! I wonder if they intentionally took inspiration from Belle’s design for Jane to show that Jane is studious and open minded
Esmeralda is my personal number 1. I love her so much and I love Hunchback so much. I hope we get to see more of her in the parks and merchandise. If she was an official member of the princess lineup, she'd be my favorite, no doubt. Megara is also a very very valid pick for number 1. I've got no clue why she's not included. She absolutely should be and really has a standout personality and story in comparison to all the official princesses. I hope she gets added someday retroactively because she deserves the spot.

I'm so sorry if I'm being a bit too pushy. There's just so many heroines that Disney never gives credit to just because they're not marketable enough and they don't follow the Disney Princess rules. She's a bit on the bland side, though I will give her points for growling and biting bad guys in the behind. Lady would be a little higher on the list, since she's the protagonist, but again, her male co-star, Tramp, is so much quirkier and funnier that he outshines her even though it's basically her story.

I've yet to watch on how you ranked the ladies but I'm so happy that I'll finally get to hear you talk about Esmeralda & Megara in great detail. Growing up Aurora, Ariel, Pocahontas, Esemralda & Megara were my all time fave heroines. I hope one day if they revise the Disney Princess line-up that at least Megara can join them, back then not many people appreciated Hercules but it has since grown in appreciation by both the old and new fans. a reason meg may not be in the princess line up is the vastly different in art style- the rest follow the more classic disney style, while hercules had a more angular, caricature style, which gives meg a more stereotypical sharp, “villainous” face and exaggerated body shape which would stand out from the rest. I don’t think that’s justified at all but it’s the only explanation I could come up with.
