How to Notch a Cigar Box for the Neck

Cutting notches in your cigar box to fit your neck through to make your cigar box guitar is easy! Let me guide you through the process in this video.
Note: the neck is a 1"x 2"x 4' (3/4" x 1 1/2" x 4' actual dimensions) piece of poplar. Use a hardwood for your neck and avoid using a soft wood like pine. Lumber yards and stores like Lowe's and Home Depot have plenty to choose from. Look for a straight piece, without a twist or a bow.
Tools I used in this video: coping saw, ruler (I used Imperial measurements), pencil, file (forgot to mention that in the beginning of the video), and painter's tape (not a necessity).
