Credit to Lee Mack also....his "thats not me!" just cracks me up everytime!!....yes before he became the national bore he was very funny....he's still funny but not the same
Noel's recent words about the previous decade 'not having enough Boosh' has given me hope that we'll see 'The French Duke' and 'The Man With The Tiny Eyes Of A Shrew' again soon!
I feel u dude, i think that's my problem i was like why my tastes so different then i rememebred i watched mighty boosh all the time as a 12 year oldhahahaha
Yeh but it's more a case of time vs money I think. I'm not sure if it'd make the money that'd make it worth it. I'd enjoy it, but unfortunately I think boosh fans are a relatively small group because it's never really been that mainstream.
I could imagine Julian absolutely taking the piss out of them being forced by their agents or whatever into doing another pointless podcast like every other minor celebrity and making barely veiled insults at the sponsors while doing their ad reads. And Noel going on wild tangents and being completely bored by the concept of a podcast five minutes in.
I remember being 10 years old listening to this on my iPod just constantly spinning around in my room giggling and dancing. Good ass times. Love The Mighty Boosh!
Hey the American office was great Also it would be hard to make an American version of this at least title wise because is Americans never really say “mighty” and “boosh” is not a word in our dictionary lol
I'm now 29 years old and I still seem to know about 90% of the words, I couldn't even guess how many times I listened to this in my teens. so happy it holds up so flippin well.
I had binged the three seasons, and live tours before I learned of this. Must have been living in a Chinese pipe. Mindhorn is a Julian masterpiece. "A load of ugly people just pummeled his face right in" Calmly delivered is fantastic! Love the whole team Julian, Noel and Dixon Banbridge best characters.
@@BrianEHanson-ProjectNext This was compulsory listening in the car with my kids when they were growing up, they're in their late teens/early 20s now. they hate everything I like now, but still find themselves quoting this all the time!
Same here! I love how familiar some of the lines are after seeing the show, but it's all in a new context. I kinda like the way that Howard Moon seems to get a bit more of a fair shake in the radio show - on the TV show he's kind of the "butt monkey" who always gets a raw deal in the end....
Wait shit ive listened to this series a million times and i just now realized lee Mack was in this and they even say "the wonderful world of lee mack" on the radio and vince skips it saying boring :P
Does anyone else think Boosh works just as well in audio form? they could be more daring with their writing and didn't have to worry too much about budgetary restrictions or other limitations. Regardless I'm going hiking Friday and I know what I'll be listening to
It's so weird hearing the rest of these more than 10 years later. I'd only ever heard the "jungle" episode and for some reason assumed that there was only one episode in existence.
Thank you so much for uploading this series. Absolutely fantastic, classic stuff lol. Only 146 likes yet nearly 16,000 views, people are such pigs, why can't they click the like button, ho hum.
I don’t own the CD of this, but it is one of those things that I would always return to from time to time if I did. The only problem with using these files online is that the ads are there and they come on very obtrusively. Does anybody have a nicer link without advertising on it?
The best radio show set in a zoo... after Frank Sidebottom - Mr Gallaghers Zoo series! Check that out for more wackiness! I always wonder whether it inspired them....
Lee Mack was already an established comic, and more or less gave the Boosh boys their foot in the door by helping them turn their live show into this radio show.
I love how much brazen ad-libbing features in the radio show compared to its TV counterpart. Even funnier is that it seems to be utilised by Noel and Julian solely to make the other corpse! I reckon Noel edges this pseudo ‘corpsing contest’ though as Julian comes really close to losing it over ‘Cathy Rhind-Hoops’, ‘Jahoolee’ and the increasingly surreal ‘Charlie’ book titles Noel recites in other episodes! ...Absolutely none of the above antics ever seems to faze Rich though!
When they said that Narcissus drowned, my mythology nerd knowledge flared up in rage. He died of starvation after looking in a pond at his reflection and then turned into a flower.
In the universe in which the Boosh is set, the myth goes differently. Solved it, restored Julian’s integrity, got your blood pressure back down to normal. Now, back to my game of whippy-pippy boy.
I used to listen to this on repeat in my bedroom when I was younger and I know all the words
ALL the words...?
@@richardcrompton6009 ALL THE WORDS

@@snoop7801 EVERY WORD
Me too. These are hardcore nostalgia value. My kids are probably gonna think it's really dated and weird
The security guard sketch is one of my favourite bits in Boosh. Julian's delivery of "That's YOU!" is just perfect.

I don't know how to cope with real life after growing up with the boosh. Someone help.

It helps with non real life lots though
It's a pain innit
The boosh was real life
They should start a podcast. It'd be super easy and cheap and all their fans would love it.
THAT - is an utterly fantastic idea 💡!!

I love that this remains a British classic, hidden from American remakes. It's comforting
No one could remake it.

"Hello Little Deer" is an underrated Boosh song.
I wish I could get the instrumental of the intro music at the start its so great
Why don't we NOT go on night watch.
I love this line - seems to have permeated our family dialogue too. 😁
I never recognised Lee Mack as the security guard 😂
Thank you
Comedy and asmr
currently on a two hour walk so here i am for entertainment
The kid talking to Fossil at the beginning is a great actor.
Great surrealism making comedy the new punk rock. Noel especially is an edgy comic but with the refinement of a French Duke.
