"Behold! The Altar of Light and Shadow shall infuse your weapon with its might!" *Sinister music plays as Xalatath is bestowed with shadow magic, and great dark power.* "...should probably double-check to see if I'm playing my priest, instead of my warlock."
I must admit, one the Paladin campaign, when I entered the temple and saw a Naru there, I just thought "sure, it makes sense one is helping the priests, esp. with Velen leading them". I didn't know they had actually saved it from the void.
A sum up of the Priest order campaign: The priests are all going to die because they're weak and inferior to Paladins (Alonsus Faol literally created Paladins (excluding Draenei and Tauren Paladins, obviously) because of how inferior Priests are on the battlefield compared to regular troops.) so you go and recruit a few people but it's not enough so you plead and play kiss-ass to the Paladins so they'll help while they steal Delas from your order hall. The paladins feel pity for how inferior you and the priests are to them (you're so inferior that they often mix you up with the highlord) so they basically sweep in and save the day for you, taking all the credit for the victory and basically making Priests into the Paladin's bitches. Yes I am salty about how the Priest order campaign is basically a clone/a glorified "Paladins are cool" campaign :P
Yeah, the Priest Order Hall campaign was pretty lame. Then in 7.2... Anduin only becomes cool when he picks up his father's sword. The Paladin boner and Blizzard's apathy for priests is getting a little embarrassing.
My only problem is that it has to many humans, Why would I be interesting in following the most boring useless and evil playable race in Warcraft? Fuck Humans and anyone who plays them.
No, I mean Humans are fucking garbage in real life and in fantasy games. No sense in crying over it. I have no idea why anyone would want humans in a fantasy mmo to start with, that makes you boring an uncreative and most likely a non-stoner.
I surely am biased since I've been a Paladin to the heart since Vanilla... but isn't the idea at the root of Warcraft that priests alone couldn't do much in war times? ^^ Btw, you guys have really been treated bad with the quest campaigns
If you go by medieval standards, proper priests where not allowed to kill others. If you translate that to WoW, most NPC priests are weak holy priests (able to cast Heals and maybe Renew) or more elite disc priests (Smite and Heals) which is them still not taking up arms. They let the Light do their pummeling. Compared to that, their armed forces are more effective. Paladins are an elite group from the start, being armored light users. But with Holy Paladins as singular healers being a gameplay thing, (similar to Shadow Priests using Void energies and not going insane after a while), Priests are usually force multipliers by being able to mend wounded soldiers. So imho proper WoW Priests and Paladins go back to their WC 3 roots. Priests being a quinessential unit in ANY army comp but Paladins being a hero class that receive more spot light. But then again, an army can do good without a Paladin if they have several Priests. And remember, almost no standard build uses Paladins as their first hero anyway.
Places that could've been a priest order hall: 1) Hearthglen 2) Lights Hope(since the pally's keep stealing our stuff 3) Tyr's Hand(the DK starting zone, under acherus) 4) Anywhere without those goddamn draenei taking over another expansion. Seriously.
Lothraxion showing up in the light spaceship though, easily one of the best moments in an order hall campaign. Even with the paladin questline, there's no hint that you'll ever see him again. So him showing up is a complete surprise still.
I know The whole thing about Lotharaxion is a bit weird, but he DOES explain himself. Sure it's very short, but it's their. Basically he says that not all Nathrezim got corrupted by The Legion, and he's one of those who even went all the way and became part of the light, basically as a part of a rebellion against The Legion.
I think he is. I heard this voice in many games and it`s hard to forget. Even in WoW I heard this guy not only as Alonsus or Lor`themar, but and as that bald druid nelf in Order Hall with "-hoof" in his name, in other games he was the voice behind, for example, Fenris from Dragon Age II or that one turian detective guy from Mass Effect and so many background characters Edit: I googled this guy, Gideon Emery, but there is nothing about Alonsus or something about Legion at all, but I can assure you that this is the same VA as Lor`themar
I loved the Paladin campaign and am working on lvling my priest(102) but Id like to say as ive seen in other comments I would have much preferred hearthglen or something as the order hall. I know its exclusive to the other kinds of priest but I just always loved the vanilla depiction of The Light and priest and paladins as essential Christian depictions in a video game. It is so rare to see that and I fell in love with it. With their lore, the kind old dwarf prirst who taught Anduin, with the lordaeron section of Eastern Kingdoms. The first time I saw the Cathedral in Stormwind I lost my mind its so beautiful. That is what I loved most about the paladin was the location and why Scarlet Crusade is my favorite faction. I really wish they would return to that instead of this space healing from alien beings made of crystal and maybe from Elune(????)
this video is from a while back 2017... as a newcomer to WoW, it's been so cool watching the WoW channels and streamers that are being part of the Hardcore Permadeath challenge being surprised by how good the voice acting provided by the voices Add-On are and how they enhance the questing experience, even if the voices are A.I. generated (text to speech)
I am always annoyed at the wildly fluctuating power levels throughout the story. NPCs like Velen, Illidan, Tirion, Thrall, basically all of the Naaru and even the player character can be extremely OP in one story arc or cinematic and then weak and useless later. Not even counting the gameplay-centered moments, like resurrection working only in very select moments of the story or quest elites rooting/stunning you when they're about to die. Highlights from the top of my head are: - Killing Kil'jaeden by ourselves (even if he was slapped a little by Velen and Illidan), when in tBC he oneshotted the raid, while not even having access to his full power. - Doing one of the last Suramar quests on my paladin (the one when you start the mana storm in the Arcway). Arluin had to sacrifice himself to stop the generator, while I was standing right next to him with my bubble off cooldown. And even if you're not a paladin, somehow I think that a hero of Azeroth, hardened by everything from the Old Gods to the Scourge to the Alementals, has an infinitely better chance of survival than a random Nightborne rogue.
i don't get it, why if Delas moves to paladin order hall what is she doing later briging news in her priest outfit? or me just messing up the timing in the quest?
I really didn't mind that part, joining together to fight a powerful enemy makes sense. What irked me was how the paladin leaders were like "ehh, I'm not sure the priests are worth risk". I wanted to mind control that draenei and make him punch himself.
I really like how the 2 campaigns were connected, both factions are warriors of the light and it makes sense for them to be allied against a mutual threat. That said their execution could have been better. As some things were not present in the priest quest that were in the paladin quest, they could have added likewise additions to the priest quest to compensate.
So, why would the Void lords show that vision? My thought? The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Given how Azeroth is corrupted and tested, the Void Lords know the strength of the citizens of Azeroth, while the legion will remain cocky.
hated it bc they neglected shadow as usual.. it kept saying oh u did this in the name of the light, or your power of the light, etc.. meanwhile I'm fucking standing there in shadow form lol. 14:39 perfect example.. walking with the light
Which weapon was a "copy" Also, "I'm not sure if empowering xal'atath is a good idea but aw well, new weapon skins" made me giggle. Good video, I've played priest and only priest since I started wow so it felt good to finally see this being uploaded. Keep up the good work!
Hey Nobbel, been watching your vids for a few years now. Was wondering if you could do a story on the HotS warcraft hero Samuro. He's apparently affiliated with the burning blade some how and I realized recently there's not a whole lot on the web about his lore. Care to fill in the blanks?
I'm also quite furious, I actually expected "Light's Wrath" (artifact weapon) to have at least some more scarlet presence, I mean the Scarlet crusade have so many key figures (in terms of priests) but the Dead Knights get Sally Whitemane (which could've been such an interesting character to contribute to the priest following) but instead we have a scarlet priestess who're wearing blood elf robes, and had no real impact on the story. And I think it's just sloppy work on blizzards side when they don't even bother changing the voice-line from high lord to high priest, and I feel like the naaru they cleansed would've best been left later or at least if they'd done something with it afterward, I felt it was somewhat "forgotten". Overall I can only agree, they only really had Velen and Moria which are known, and then they put in some big names with no backstory or anything. I feel like they could've easily put in Anduin too (since they even made him the priest hero in hearthstone) I can only agree with Nobble in the disappointing way :/ I do like the extra backstory for the shadow priest but that's about the only thing.
Nightelf Paladins incoming....! Maybe even Undead Paladins under the guide of Alonsius to prevent them from falling to the darkness coming with the next Expansion?
Does anyone know if Nobbel has done a video on seeing Illidan past were you fight as him when he was in the moon guard in BRH? having a really hard time with that quest.
I really need help, I got the spark from the valkyr and I have the quest to turn it on the hall class, but when I walk into the temple of the light I DON'T get the button to release the spark... I tried closing the game, or even getting out and in of the hall class and nothing works... Any ideas?
I have a question just as a means to remember. Do the dead and undead still have souls in their bodies? And can they linger in them for a long time? Need help. Also I wish calia did more in linch king. Also man imagine if deathwing smashed her? I mean damn! Lol Huh human and dragon children?.... Ps. Holy shit did I hear golem!?
What artifact the priest share with the paladins? In what sense? Im pretty sure Dks Druids and Warlocks for example share the quest of getting an artifact in the Tombs of Karazhan.
I really hope they make Scarlet Crusade or what is left of it relevant again. Maybe something like a pvp faction for the Alliance while Horde will get something with Forsaken as a counterpart. (i know that Alliance doesnt like the crimes Scarlet Crusade commited but there are still some members in Stormwind which could be working on getting some support from Alliance) Would be cool to see a new battleground with reputation behind it for some sweet rewards, like transmog based on Scalet Crusade, like that tabard they wear in Northrend or maybe even some armor sets who knows?
there is nothing of it left tho. all of it died in WotLK. If you've done the DK starting area, you'd know they did a kamikaze raid in Northrend which ended with the complete dismantling of the order.
yeah but they revamped Scarlet Monastery in Mist of Pandaria so i thought there might be some of them left in Tirisfal Glades and since Sylvanas is getting more dangerous then ever maybe Alliance might take the possibility of an ally there (especialy Greymane)
>NPC walks faster than you but runs slower
BLIZZARD.
STOP.
PLZ
I cannot believe that after all these years they still have not fixed this. It's so annoying.
I think they are just trolling us at this point.
That happens in way more videogames than you think. D:
LMAO
"Behold! The Altar of Light and Shadow shall infuse your weapon with its might!"
*Sinister music plays as Xalatath is bestowed with shadow magic, and great dark power.*
"...should probably double-check to see if I'm playing my priest, instead of my warlock."
I must admit, one the Paladin campaign, when I entered the temple and saw a Naru there, I just thought "sure, it makes sense one is helping the priests, esp. with Velen leading them". I didn't know they had actually saved it from the void.
6:58 You okay Velen? Just felt like dancing a bit?
7:00 just look at velen for 8 sec
MagicRiven XDDDDDDDDDD
Guess Velen knows how to Moon Walk
MagicRiven Amazing
sick moves man
lol. Looks like he was lagging a bit.
Over the months I've become rather fond of my knaifu, and its whispering. Not sure if it is a good sign...
Well atleast you're not the guy that got pissed at me and started to threaten me because I refused to call Xal'atath a "she".
This continues to age like fine wine (proud Knife Dad)
A sum up of the Priest order campaign:
The priests are all going to die because they're weak and inferior to Paladins (Alonsus Faol literally created Paladins (excluding Draenei and Tauren Paladins, obviously) because of how inferior Priests are on the battlefield compared to regular troops.) so you go and recruit a few people but it's not enough so you plead and play kiss-ass to the Paladins so they'll help while they steal Delas from your order hall.
It's just that... you're not wrong, but... you see... Paladins are just way better than priests.
Yeah, the Priest Order Hall campaign was pretty lame.
Then in 7.2... Anduin only becomes cool when he picks up his father's sword. The Paladin boner and Blizzard's apathy for priests is getting a little embarrassing.
Well hopefully when it comes to the time of the void lord's, priest's will be the spotlight because that would make sense. But this is Blizzard.
Lothraxxion will never cease to intrigue me.
I sure hope he doenst turn out to be a traitor.
The new lore for spriests I really appreciated, but being made dependent on the Paladins was a blow to the ego
Indeed, I thought the idea of joining the two stories was brilliant. Execution though, especially on priest side, was a disaster.
I surely am biased since I've been a Paladin to the heart since Vanilla... but isn't the idea at the root of Warcraft that priests alone couldn't do much in war times? ^^
Btw, you guys have really been treated bad with the quest campaigns
Kinda missing the point Alessarius. Problem isn't WHAT was done, but rather HOW it was done.
If you go by medieval standards, proper priests where not allowed to kill others. If you translate that to WoW, most NPC priests are weak holy priests (able to cast Heals and maybe Renew) or more elite disc priests (Smite and Heals) which is them still not taking up arms. Shadow was ignored other than natalie selene.. they constantly say under the light and never include shadow
Places that could've been a priest order hall:
1) Hearthglen
2) Lights Hope(since the pally's keep stealing our stuff
3) Tyr's Hand(the DK starting zone, under acherus)
4) Anywhere without those goddamn draenei taking over another expansion. Seriously.
I disagree the temple was very well made.
i've been griding demons for hours and at this point im ready to join the legion
can you end me same I’m a demon hunter so it will be ezy
In fact i think most would play as legion faction like they have no problem playing as diablo or similar on heroes of the storm
>Wants to keep Azeroth save
>Empowers a piece of an old god
Lothraxion showing up in the light spaceship though, easily one of the best moments in an order hall campaign. Even with the paladin questline, there's no hint that you'll ever see him again. So him showing up is a complete surprise still.
So he being listed as one of a champions is not a hint? Oookaaay
Nobbel maybe he died of....Faol play....YEEEEEEEEEEAH!
Harm okay, that's a good one. I approve.
Harm you fail to amuse me
Considering the amount of content Legion has it would be foolish to think Blizzard wouldnt mess up something
Is it me or does Alonsus Faol have the same voice actor as Lor'themar Theron?
I think he is. I heard this voice in many games and it`s hard to forget. Even in WoW I heard this guy not only as Alonsus or Lor`themar, but and as that bald druid nelf in Order Hall with "-hoof" in his name, in other games he was the voice behind, for example, Fenris from Dragon Age II or that one turian detective guy from Mass Effect and so many background characters
Edit: I googled this guy, Gideon Emery, but there is nothing about Alonsus or something about Legion at all, but I can assure you that this is the same VA as Lor`themar
He also voices Kayn Sunfury from the Demon Hunter order hall
Ringa Arin that guy also voices Gideon in Call of Duty Advanced Warfare
Yep. It’s Gideon Emery.
Also Azuregos that one dwarf from the shadow priest artifact quest and N’zoth share the same voice actor as Reinhardt from overwatch :D
This is a nice reminder that's it's best to reroll to a paladin instead of a priest. Two night elves and possibly Anduin already did it.
I've been waiting for this video from SOO long!
Nobble!! you the best goodnight story teller ever!
My cousin (2 years) and I sleeps to your videos!
Also the Priest Champions we have recruited arent even in the final battle. BUT the fkn Paladin ones are. GOSH FRICKING DANGIT
A nice feature would have been an NPC or 3 in the Netherlight Temple scenario to represent the Highlord/High Priest and their artefact weapons.
Awwww fel yeah Lore on a sunday night with Nobbel. Tea ✓ Toast ✓ Tucked up in bed ✓ Lets begin
fel instead of hell ,
fucking warlocks
Story of the priest order hall campaign.... please refer to the Paladin order hall campaign video.
To think that Lothraxion's allegiance was always with the Jailor... That fight against Balnazzar was also a farce huh
And Balnazzar faked his death how many times now :D
I would've laughed my ass off if when he said where is your light now, the Xenedar pulled up and just fried him with it's Judgement Cannon.
7:00 for Valen doing the moon walk.
The fact that Lothraxion and Balnazzar are in the same room is a little more interesting now that we know where all the Dreadlords come from.
It's a Nobbel vid. Gotta hit that like button before vid starts lol
Ima liking it now and watch tomorrow. Damn you Nobbel, I'm too sleepy now D:
I loved the Paladin campaign and am working on lvling my priest(102) but Id like to say as ive seen in other comments I would have much preferred hearthglen or something as the order hall.

who did the voice acting for this video here? good job 👍

It's also a bad thing that Delas doesn't give the Priest any explanation for her wearing plate armor and weilding a 2handed hammer now xD
7:00 ThemVelen smooth moves.
Seeing so many shadow priests brings a tear to my eye. I used to play a shadow preist back in Pandaria
i don't get it, why if Delas moves to paladin order hall what is she doing later briging news in her priest outfit? or me just messing up the timing in the quest?
the timing. Delas is one of the last paladin champions
Thank you!
PRIESTS!!!! But we were saved by the Paladins :/
Megan V Yeah, the campaign just shows preists as weaklings who cant stand against the legion themselves
I really didn't mind that part, joining together to fight a powerful enemy makes sense. What irked me was how the paladin leaders were like "ehh, I'm not sure the priests are worth risk". I wanted to mind control that draenei and make him punch himself.
Luthies That part rubbed me the wrong way, it shouldn't have even been brought up
priests working with a party to achieve an otherwise impossible goal, sounds legit and badass, we can't all be druids...
"Where is your light now hero." Everyone-"it's behind you!" Lol
love your videos nobbel, bought my first ever novel because of you :D
I really like how the 2 campaigns were connected, both factions are warriors of the light and it makes sense for them to be allied against a mutual threat. That said their execution could have been better. As some things were not present in the priest quest that were in the paladin quest, they could have added likewise additions to the priest quest to compensate.
Didn’t expect devrim Kay’s voice actor to play a forsaken but it works
So, why would the Void lords show that vision? My thought? The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Given how Azeroth is corrupted and tested, the Void Lords know the strength of the citizens of Azeroth, while the legion will remain cocky.
i have a feeling that shadow priests will have a pre launch event in the next expac like the warlocks did, if you catch my drift...
"zeelots"
Hehe I remember when I used to mispronounce it that way
Hey nobbel, just a quick thing about dreadlords, their world was ravaged by the void and the dreadlords learned to live with the void and use it.
hated it bc they neglected shadow as usual.. it kept saying oh u did this in the name of the light, or your power of the light, etc.. meanwhile I'm fucking standing there in shadow form lol.
14:39 perfect example.. walking with the light
plus you'd think the paladins would have at least mentioned their concern at the priests allowing us to fuck with old god magic freely
7:00 Velen LOL that walking animation
Did anyone else see Velen freak out at 7:00?
Was happy to see the Scarlet Onslaught again. After the second fall of Lorderon, do you think we’ll see the Crusaders again?
Which weapon was a "copy"
Also, "I'm not sure if empowering xal'atath is a good idea but aw well, new weapon skins" made me giggle. Good video, I've played priest and only priest since I started wow so it felt good to finally see this being uploaded.
Keep up the good work!
Bro I just realized, 13:45, that troll sounds like Vol'jin! Maybe Vol's long lost brother? Xd
that Gilner Greymoss sound like an assassin from the Dark Brotherhood ;)
When he completes quests, at least in my mind, they just spasm out right before saying his name. That's why his name is Arghgh.
4:31 watch your tongue nobbel!
they should have tryed to make group quest between order hall would have be nice to quest with other people
For those of you who wonder who High Priestess Ishanah is, she's the leader of the Aldor in Shattrath.
Nobbel? Why do you not use the Gavinrad photo from DK Frostmoune swords questline. He was there was he not?
"Long we have searched for you, Prophet Velen. Here you thought yourself safe from the Legion's gays".
Finally the best class ;)
Gareth Rimmer hunter is the best class.... MM Hunter is ma jamm. Always the best on dpsing... Also BM hunter , veeeery fun in pvp
Teglariu Adelina Hunter= 1 2 3 spam and ur top dpd
What is the addon you use for the followers that tells you the success rate? The one in the top-right corner of the follower dialog?
Had to come back and watch this after reading Before the Storm
9:21 damn 👍okay then
Damn you nobbel i was just about to sleep and then my phone rang...why do you have to upload interesting videos!
Can we just talk about how it looks like dalas moonfang is in plate and holding a mace for a second? Night Elf Paladin?
Alonsus is level 113 in the game, yet only a level 110 follower. Direct evidence of a dreadlords involvement....
Did you do the death knight's class order hall lore?
Aldor huh? You aren't too mad I picked Scryer, right? Right?
Nah, they made up, remember? Shattered Sun Offensive and all that ;)
It's behind you....every theatre bad guys worst fear lol
Could you please talk about Ahune, Frost Lord?
Velen doing the moonwalk at 6:58
hi nobbel, so balnazzar is really been vanquished forever because netherlight temple is in twisting nether?
or he will return like other demons
Was there nothing about Delas leaving the order or was it just not covered in the video?
Are you doing one of these for the hunters?
Speak to Calia, she says she is the rightful heir to Lordearon, but she don't want to be a Queen, she doesen't care about the throne at all.
Hey Nobbel, been watching your vids for a few years now. Was wondering if you could do a story on the HotS warcraft hero Samuro. He's apparently affiliated with the burning blade some how and I realized recently there's not a whole lot on the web about his lore. Care to fill in the blanks?

Maybe even Undead Paladins under the guide of Alonsius to prevent them from falling to the darkness coming with the next Expansion?
Does anyone know if Nobbel has done a video on seeing Illidan past were you fight as him when he was in the moon guard in BRH? having a really hard time with that quest.
I really need help, I got the spark from the valkyr and I have the quest to turn it on the hall class, but when I walk into the temple of the light I DON'T get the button to release the spark... I tried closing the game, or even getting out and in of the hall class and nothing works... Any ideas?

Huh human and dragon children?....
Ps. Holy shit did I hear golem!?
FINALLY MY CLASS GETS THE NobLove
dude what should i do in BFA I dont see anyone to give me a quest for starting class hall quests
Nobbel what do priests who use the light think of shadow priests using the void?
10:50 Gilner Greymoss speaks same than Smeagol :v
Could you do a video about the Story of Dalaran?
Is Balnazaar permanently dead? I mean, the temple is in the Twisting Nether but its also saturated eith the Light. Would that be enough?
now all we need the best class.... the hunters and mages be glad our order hall save them >:3
It's funny, 17:18, Sol is how you say Sun in Portuguese.
30:38 Yo Nobbelman78. Vashj'ir isn't part of the Broken Isles.
IMMERSION = RUINED.
hello everyone
fallenistari shatap you random who probably gonna kill me in the future....whit 24 other randoms...
N'Zoth I've designed your entire raid in my head and I'm pretty proud of it
Hello everyone
[Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker] Did someone say ...
Hi Lord N'Zoth! Is it time to execute plan proudmore?
Finally! I did mine over such a long period of time I can't remember it anymore.
....altho in pretty sure it's p close to the pally one
i was in shock for one second, because my box dindt synchronized...youtube 😅
i love that part where shes like, i laid in a muck ridden ditch for 2 days while ghouls. blah blah blah, you had it so hard.
Well, I mean it's a stark contrast to her life as a princess, though so it does make sense.
Is Faol voiced by Jaime Lannister?
Hey wait... Is Faol voiced by Deckard Cain?
Hey Nobbel did you do the death knight one?
he did that one months ago. just search for it in his videos
Starval oh thanks I thought he didn't i'll search it
What artifact the priest share with the paladins? In what sense? Im pretty sure Dks Druids and Warlocks for example share the quest of getting an artifact in the Tombs of Karazhan.

Why is balnazaar Shang tsung in this campaign?
