Kenyan President William Ruto announced Wednesday that he would not sign a controversial finance bill that would introduce new taxes, a surprise move a day after Kenyans stormed Parliament and escalated massive street protests, which were met by a deadly police crackdown. More than 20 people were killed and hundreds injured in the clashes, rights groups said.

This can not happen in Ghana because of tribal affiliations politics. These politicians use the name of Ghana 🇬🇭 to borrow huge sums of money, then most of these borrowed money end up in the accounts or houses, then when it's time to pay, they increases taxes and increases utilities bills and over burden the citizens. The problem in Ghana is not about revenue generation but mismanagement and corruption.

Some had to be ferried using ambulances to conceal their escape. And now, most of them can't sleep in their homes, they are in hotels, moving like thugs. When they appear in the public, they are pursued like wanted criminals.
