Thank you Ron . Very kind of you . I have revamped the inside a while ago already but have not placed the video yet . Promise to put it up within a week or so.

@@Overlandervanman : Wish they sold a van like that here in the states. I am finishing off a van build of my own. You did a lot for a very small space!
This is one of the veryyyy few videos I've seen where I've thought, "One like is way too few". Love your setup! BTW, came here via your FB post to see the build!
@@gasfranangolalda6145 That is so very kind of you . If im in that area , I will take you up on that . We will only stay for a few months- ok joking , one night in the van at a camp site near your place.
Overlanderman has shown real tallent with this build. For someone with an academic background and a day job that has absolutely nothing to do with anything mechanical, he has astounded me. He is a self-taught welder and craftsman. I have been friends with Overlanderman for many years, and yet again he has taught me that where there's a will, there's a way.
Thank you Ron! You make me blush and there is still a lot to learn. I think having this big dream and knowing that I will never be able to just go and buy it was the big motivator here
Yep, you start out with the best intentions and before you know it the washing machine and tumble dryer ends up going with. I Think the two daughters with the two boyfriends that suddenly showed interest to go camping added a lot. More chairs, tables - everything. Busy renovating an old camper so that they can use that and Renda and I can go back to minimalistic. Will post as soon it's done
Read about your build project in a recent edition of Drive & Camp. Outstanding creativity man! Please don't keep this talent to yourself. Identify a suitable current base vehicle in the Southern African market and go commercial unleashing your talents. I am certain videos of you doing Moremi Game Reserve, Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and many other exotic destinations will be appreciated. Best of luck with your endeavors.
Now THIS is true ingenuity and creativity! I had some of your ideas on my bucket list but damn, I don't think I came up with half of what you have here!
You really are a clever old sod! I love this build. You have done a really good job of making practical use of every square inch of the van. I thought I had some great ideas for my build & I have a background in specialist vehicle building..... you have given me some even better ideas to try now. Love the colour. I am going to raptor my build but can't decide the colour....Sand....green......grey? ....Aaaargh! What breed is your black Dog? I want one!
Thanks man. And yes I hear you re the colour - went through exactly the same frustrating process. I had my paint mixers get very angry cause I just was'nt happy. Baloo is a giant Schnauzer. He is my second giant. Clever as hell, not aggressive and best part is they dont shed hair. Just love them.
An incredible Anglo-Italian-Swiss camper-knife-van. Totally awesome!! Is it winterized too? If it is, you, sir, missed a shining career in van building!
Thank you. Yes, I went to a lot of trouble to get it comfortable inside in heat and cold and especially that rubber used for aircon pipes does work and the van is a lot quiter inside. Insulation on this video: ruclips.net/video/eQn7d-srE7Q/видео.html
Thank you. It is quite small. It is the short wheelbase Iveco. The inside measurements from the back of front seats to back doors is 2,6m and width is 1,8m Becomes 1,9 if I use the space inside the side hatch
I gather you have used Nissan axles? On my vehicle, I'm looking at using/modifying the Range Rover P38 axles. Would be interested to see how you handled the rack and pinion steering and if you've had to modify the sump.
Bought the van with the patrol axles fitted, but the fitmentt did not work properly, caused death wobble. Trick is pannard and steering rod must run parallel. Fitted wit a LR discovery 1 steering box, nice and small. Sump was no issue, original sump. Will do vid to explain layout
Interesting about the steering rod and Panhard rod having to be parallel. Do you have a steering damper fitted? I am thinking of utilising the existing rack and pinion steering unit and connecting to the swivel steering arms that are on both sides as the P38/Landie axles have the arms for left and right hand drive. Look forward to seeing your video thanks.
H. Yes steering damper fitted . However , should not be used to try and sort out an underlying wobbling issue . mostly there to smooth out steering@@stuartplunkett1366

Do you have contact details, need to ask you some questions regarding your build. I’m also in Cape Town
You can phone me at 0834502928
Can I learn the tire dimensions
Sure, currently 16 inch Maxxis Bighorns.. Going to change soon to Maxxis Razr 285/75/16 because it has better sidewall protection
Lays sponsor ?
Nope, but the wife would love a year's supply of that stuff. I should send them a bill for the ad yes
