Was here a year ago. Honestly was impressed with everything, best beach I’ve seen after seven different resorts around Cuba, except for the food. I know by now what to expect in Cuba food wise, but won’t return here for this reason. The buffet was the worst I’ve been to yet.

There are umbrellas and tents made from the palm leaves, and when we visited, there were plenty of them available. Not sure how it looks in busier time.
Our group of 12 went in August 2023 based on this video and tripadvisor reviews and were fooled BIG TIME! This hotel is filthy!!! Food was disgusting and trays are always empty. Service is the worse we've ever encountered (and we travel to the Carribean twice a year for the last 10 years so we know what service and quality is). Don't waste your money here.

The airport is in Santa Clara which is 1,5 hrs away.
