My brother and I served in Iraq together where he unfortunately lost his life, I still drive his pickup everyday, thus sing describes word for word how I feel sitting behind the wheel that truck
Thank you for your service, sir. And your brother's sacrifice May he rest in heaven and sit by the lord's table, with the rest of those that sacrificed for our country. May you be blessed in all things and always be ready to fight for the. Freedom of our country. Thank you
This song express's what so many other songs cannot to Lee Brice when you sing this I feel the pain brought across I do not know what its like to loose a blood brother but I have lost many amazing friends after being in over 7 yrs through OIF-3 till now currently deployed I lost my best friend in mid 2012 not to this "war" like most of my fellow brothers and in the song but because of it, he couldnt excape until one mornin at 2am god said nough is nough Im glad for this song, RIP FDW 05-26-12
This song reminds me of how much I miss my best friend and my cousin. He passed away to early in life an I miss him all the time. He was more of a brother than anything to me RIP Jeff :-(
A month ago my best bud and I went muddin, we got stuck so we grabbed some one to pull us out. When he went to pull us our his ball hitch broke hitting my bro in the back of his head, I held my best bro in my arms till the ambulance got there. By the grace of God he's still alive but hasn't woken up yet. This was our favorite sing to blast in the truck.
Roxanne Marie Roxanne Marie- You are a turnip. The guy expressed his feelings about what happened to his friend, and you're REVIEWING it? It's not yours to like or dislike. Go away.
This song, especially this version, is haunting. I am fortunate that i have not lost anybody in the armed forces, but this song still has a lot of meaning. To all those who serve, thank you. To those who have lost somebody-they are not forgotten. And they will never be forgotten.
Absolutely my FAVORITE! You brought it home this time Lee! Thank you and may God bless all the families and friends of our fallen. May God bless our Troops! This song rips me apart every time!
My Dad died in 2000...he had an old Dodge Ram van...he loved it...I used to bug him about it all the time...it was that van that I learned to drive in...and after he passed we used that van for everything from moving to trips to the dump...guess he got the last laugh...Love and Miss you Dad
Thanks for the song. You did a great job with it. Brings back memories of my friends from the service that didn't make it back with me. It hurts but that just shows how well this song touches home and helps me / all of us remember.

Feb 2, 2018, my grandpa had been gone 23 years. I love and miss him badly. This song reminds me of him so much. I drove his ole truck a while before my mom finally sold it, against my wishes. It wasn't much, but it was his. I love you, Papaw. 😢
I am a singer/song writer and I have to admit, I cannot stop listening to this song. It would be hard for me to imagine that there is anyone who would not relate to his loss, no matter what their personal loss had been. For me, it's my Dad. Thank you Lee Brice. The lyrics, melody and your delivery was nothing short of amazing.
This song is so emotional, listening to it brought back memories of my grandpa who was like a dad to me who I lost 15 years ago, but I started crying like I saw him yesterday! So powerful❤
@OfficialleebricemusicI lost my papa Jim he died of cancer and I play this song every day for him I like your music lee Brice and keep up the good work
My father in law died on Feb 14th of this year. I loved the man. He had a GMC Sierra that he used for work. For the first couple weeks, it was tough. I drive his truck and get flooded with memories. He was a good man. I miss him like he was my father. I will be keeping his truck.
my dad passed away last january, and i sang this song for my district talent show. i have a video of it on my channel. but i absolutely love this song, and reminds me of my dad so much. i miss him every single day, and singing this song, makes me feel closer to him.
My dad was a truck driver. He left home on the morning of Feb 14th 1984 and 6 hour's later I identified his body. We hadn't seen eye to eye for a while so I was living with my grandparents and doing well. That's before the call. I don't get to drive his truck but I do drive my own and have now going 33 years. This song hits different for me but for the rest of you who live and the reason a song like this was written I just want you to know I understand. I tried to enlist but was told no because I had gotten a felony assault charge so I went trucking. Much love to the one's who didn't come home but a ton of love to the one who did and have to keep driving that damn truck to slow down the hurt. God Bless and God Bless America.
I lost my dad to cancer on 09/19/14. At the time he owned a 2011 Chevrolet 3500HD Diesel Crew Cab Dually. It was his dream truck. The truck you work your whole life to get. I always remember my dad having the cool truck and this one was no exception. 2 months later I was able to purchase it from my mom. It was his dream truck, and now its the truck I will own forever. I miss him, and I'd trade the truck to have him back for just one day. Happy birthday pops. I hope you don't mind I drive your truck....
