**Well, characters in this list have either fought in the battle or at-least played an important role in the battle (otherwise there were few more fearsome warriors).**

Power of Karna:
As the battle intensified, Arjuna pushed back Karna's chariot 10 steps backward every time by the energy of the arrows, but Karna was only able to push Arjuna's chariot 2 steps backward. Seeing this Lord Krishna praised Karna and admired the skill of Karna. When questioned by Arjuna, Krishna said it is impossible for any human ever to push his chariot backwards because the chariot of Arjuna contains both Hanuman and Krishna, thus holding the entire weight of the universe. Even to shake the chariot is an impossible task, and Karna is pushing it 2 feet (0.61 m) every time by the energy of his arrows. Krishna said no human ever had or ever will attain this feat as it is impossible even to shake the chariot containing Maha Vishnu.

Ordered in perfect manner except the last in my opinion. As far as I concerned Duryodhana was much better fighter in mace than Bheem. Although Bhim has sheer brutal strength, he was less skilled compared to valiant Duryodhana.

Well, he would still be a force to reckon with, as he was immensely powerful physically (he got those attributes from his father ghatotkach), was tough and had enough concentration to complete his tapasaya and earn a boon, and was on the path of dharma, ....in my opinion for a warrior these qualities are more than enough, but where exactly he would rank without those arrows in this list, we don't exactly know, because he didn't fought an actual battle.... unfortunately....

It was those curses and lord krishna's mind that turned the tide in arjuna's favour.....

Only if Duryodhana made Ashwathama the Chief General of Kauravas instead of Karna while he was in his anger against the Pandavas the result of Kurukshetra war could have been different. Ashwathama was not just skilled in various combats but also he was expert in trapping his enemies with his excellent strategies, making deadly military formations i.e Vyuhas not just that he also knew how to effectively break many dangerous Vyuhas aswell, he was master in Meditation, Yoga and Martial Arts and also he had siddhis over many powerful Mantras along with many destructive Divyastras. In his Extreme level of anger and when he felt extremely threatened he transformed in to a 2nd Shiva i.e a MahaMaharathi who could have burnt and destroyed an entire huge group of mighty army using his inner chi power with just a gaze of his eyes but he was unaware about this power himself only Bheeshma, Krishna and Drona knew about it but they never told Ashwathama about this destructive power of his as they knew it would have been extremely dangerous for them to do so then Ashwathama would have become a complete unstoppable warrior for the entire 3 Worlds i.e TriLok aswell even if everyone in the entire 3 Worlds i.e TriLok faught together against him they would have had no chance against him. This is the true power and potential of Shivansh. 😁💪

Ashwathama was a Mahamaharati in his extreme anger or excitement who could have burned everything with a blink of his eyes qte similar to the power of Yudhishtir but unlike Yudhishtir he ddnt knew about his destructive power only Krishna and Bheeshma knew this power of Ashwatthama but they never told him that. He was holding himself throughout the war as he gave his words to lord Krishna of not using his full strength in the war even after his father's death Ashwathama tried to hold his anger a lot before snapping completely after seeing Duryodhana wounded badly.

For the people who did not read the long unabridged Mahabharata, Karna would look more powerful than what he actually was in the original Mahabharata. It is the present day writers and film makers made Karna look bit more powerful because Karna's character is more appealing from the present day point of view (he can be easily made as a modern day hero) so, he has been often exaggerated. Of course Karna was a great warrior and almost equal to Arjuna but, his powers were bit exaggerated today due to the mentioned reason. I too believed that Karna was bit powerful than Arjuna until I read and researched the unabridged Mahabharata text.

Anandwarrior Cool Well if u could get your logic right then it would be Karna being on top of Arjuna. Karna always used his skills more than he used his celestial weapons and Arjuna kept using celestial advantages even have 2 celestial beings as his charioteer and chariot flag. Yet Karna was still able to push 2 celestial beings aka Krishna and hanuman plus one celestial warrior with a normal bow. So I don't think Arjuna would stand a chance against Karna.

Ashwathama's potential and strength can't be compared to any other warrior except Lord Krishna himself. He even surpassed his dad in Warfare skills, he was extremely wise and knowledgeable also he had knowledge of many deadly trapping strategies and dangerous military formations i.e Vyuhas as well as the knowledge of breaking many powerful Vyuhas effectively, he also had knowledge of various powerful Devine Celestial weapons and Mantras which were far more then even Arjuna the real historical hero or even the over glorified TV serial hero Karna. Untill his father died he ddnt even bothered to use even half of his complete strength as he promised lord Krishna before the war that he won't fight with his full potential throughout the Kurukshetra war. He was a Maharathi in his normal state but in his anger he faught lyk an Atimaharathi whom no one in the entire Cosmos could have defeated not even by Krishna himself even with his Sudarshan Chakra and that's not my claim at all for ur kind info those who studied Mahabharata deeply knows the fact that Krishna himself told this to half dead Duryodhana, Arjuna and Bheeshma also not just that in his over excitement or extreme rage he was also capable of turning in to a MahaMaharathi as per our holy Puranas and not just that just like Yudhishthir he could have also burnt the entire Kurukshetra battlefield with just a blink of his eyes but unlike Yudhishthir Ashwathama was not aware of his destructive power only Bheeshma and Krishna knew it all along but never opened this secret to Ashwathama and if in his anger state he knew this secret about his destructive power and was made the Chief General of Duryodhana's army instead of Drona or Karna then probably the Kauravas could have won the war as per Lord Krishna. 🙏🙏

well i believe they were then nearly equal.... but I'll still give slight edge to karna.... why ? ..... because even after forgetting the enchantments, still it was not possible to kill him, he was holding on his own against arjuna, maybe a little bit because of vijaya bow, while that bow was in his hand, it was not possible....

Frank Lemarin there r different versions of mahabharat describing different things in each of them. I am not saying that the book which u have read is wrong but i have read that though the kavach nd kundal were not with karna during the war he was very mighty warrior nd lord Krishna himself said that he is better than arjun nd when he is wielding the vijay bow he is even more stronger. And everyone knows that karna was killed by arjuna at the time when he was taking out the wheel of his chariot. If arjun was really that better then he had to cheat. arjun was an excellent archer but in other weapons his brothers were good but karna was excellent in all weapons. U must have read that karna defeated all his brothers even bhima but spared all of them due to his promise with kunti. karna didn't wield vijay bow on the sixteenth day but then also he nearly killed arjuna but spared because of the sunset. By the way in one of the version it is also written that karna was created by lord Krishna himself.Karna was perfect nd was having all the qualities of pandavas.
Frank Lemarin maybe ur right because i have also that arjun's skin was blue or black like krishna but that doesn't mean that he is very strong. even Ashwatthama was an incarnation of shiva but he was not the strongest. Parshurama was the avatar of visnu but he was not able to defeat Bhishma maybe Bhishma was strong or vice versa. But still being the incarnation or avatar of any of the three supreme beings doesn't makes that person stronger. Rama was also the avatar of visnu vut he was twice defeated by Indrajeet.

Aaryan BITW in mahabharata krishna mentions that his sudharshan chakra cant kill karna when he has his kavach and kundal. the sudharshan chakra carrying the weight of the 3 worlds cant kill him. then is there anything that can? the kavach and kundal were made of amrita. the same thing which the gods consumed to keep their immortality. but there is a way of destroying the shield... i read it somewhere but kamadhenu might be able to do something about it.(but mostly no)

He had decided to fight to that side of war whose side is WEAKER and he could KILL THE WHOLE PANDAV SENA IN ONE STROKE..... thats y LORD KRISHNA KILLED HIM BEFORE STARTING WAR... But he was STILL alive after deying and watched whole bettle..and popularly known as KHATU SHYAM JI.....he was the MOST POWERFUL accordingly

how do feel any one can finish the mahabharat war in 1 min . it was rubbish you should mention how he could finish the war with his skills or with his boon. if boon then jayadrath also a great warrior becoz he too got boon from shiva . that for one day no one other than arjun can defeat him. so if a warrior wins by the boon it will not like that he was a great warrior.i accept that barbarik has immense physical streangth so that can be added but not for the fact that he could finish the war in just three strikes.

but then that weapon was also useless against bhisma, because he also had a boon.... that he can only die when really he wants to die....I'll prepare a video on him.... apart from bhisma that power could have killed everyone.... he could have finished the war in mere minutes..
I knew about Barbarik's boon but then at this point another question arises that if Bhisma was stronger than Barbarik,why was Vasudev Krishna was afraid of Barbarik participating in the war and that he will be killing everyone on both sides because no matter what if Bhisma was stronger then Barbarik could have never defeated Bhisma and so the Kauravas would have always remained stronger till Bhishma was there,so there was no question of Barbarik participating from the other side.Now my question is was Krishna afraid because those 3 baan could only cause harm to Bhisma not defeat him?I am sorry if I am confusing you with my questions........

well look, Barbarik after getting the boon, promised his guru( or mother, i have read both versions)..... that "he will always fight from the weaker side because of this power"
Now that promise was the real problem .....
look numerically pandavas were less in number so barbarik will initially participate from pandavas side....
but after destroying a certain number of kaurvas army...... kaurvas will become weak..... now according to his promise...... barbarik will then fight from kaurvas side and will keep on doing so.... until both the side were completely annihilated..... and thereby.... the real purpose of the war will not be fulfilled.....
......and Vasudeva even checked....., suppose he will hide padavas somewhere.... when barbarik was fighting from other side..... and he realized that it will have no effect..... the power can trace its enemies even when they are hiding....
and his life might have been spared but he also promised that he will surely fight in the war.... so he has to die before the war.... otherwise the catastrophe was sure....
Now, suppose Bhisma might still be standing from kaurvas side but numerically kaurvas are weaker so then barbarik will now fight from kaurvas side and even vasudeva might not be able to save pandavas even if he tried to hide then anywhere

duryodhan was trained personally by balarama and had declared duryodhan as the second best mace fighter after balarama himself. and in essence duryodhan was better than bhima.
so i think duryodhan should have been placed in 9th position.
now in terms of experience bhisma and karna i think are on par.(but i will give exp. win to bhisma)when it comes to battle. after duryodhan had been crowned the king; karna had gone all around the world on his chariot for 10years and suppressed all the kingdoms by force or if they surrendered willingly. in terms of archery knowledge both bhisma and karna have been taught by the same teacher.guru parashurama. in addition to this bhisma possessed a astra which could put anyone to sleep. bhisma possessed the knowledge of brahmastra, brahmashirastra and brahmadanda astra. which karna also possessed knowledge of but when he required them he wont be able to invoke them.due to curse.so bhisma had advantage over karna in astra.(this is a speculation but when Karna's training was complete..parashurama declared karna as the strongest warrior and knowledge of how to counter bishma's sleep inducing astra should have been imparted to karna otherwise parashurama wont have made such a claim.)
karna possessed the surya god's given kavach and kundal. this is what he was born with and were a part of him. the kavach protected karna and nothing even in the three worlds could harm the weilder of the kavach. the kundal protected karna from diseases,poison..the things that could harm karna internally and also made karna immune to death. this power was a part of karna himself as he was born with it in addition after being cursed by parashurama and unable to use the 3 divine lord brahmadev's astras. parashurama felt he had over done with his curse and so he gifted karna with his precious bow, vijaya bow. which had belonged to lord shiva and had such enchantments that the weilder of the bow would come victorious in every battle and none would be able to overpower him. with these karna could easily be stronger than bhisma. even without his kavach or kundal his bow would more than enough ensure karna's victory over bhisma.
if anyone has read the mahabharata. the original one you would come across what lord krishna says about karna. one such thing he said was karna was a better warrior than lord krishna himself.in addition lord krishna said that if he had not sided with the pandavas, karna would have ended the war in 1and half days.
karna should have atleast been placed second i feel.
