Didn’t anyone notice that just before the machine finished the full rotation that the machine chipped all of the base of the stone off, wasting all of the faceting it just did? The whole point was broken off wasting half the stone because the facets would have to be re-cut deeper into the stone. That’s the danger of working the stone that fast.
your comment is 4 years old but i have to say, that's called the table of the gemstone. the top, flat facet. it's not a waste, it's the only way you can see the brilliant pavilion facets and it's part of the design.
I have a few comments, #1 I don't like the fact they don't show a before & after gem so we can see what it looks like and the quality of the cuts. How does it map rough gems to get accurate cuts? #2 No price? Someone said on here 70k+ which seems probably accurate given the machines size and capabilities. #3 Sorry but nothing beats the good old fashioned hands of the wonderful men and women who cut spectacular gemstones for a living - gem cutting is such a beautiful art. The only thing I could find a use for this machine would be mass production of calibrated cut gemstones and possibly melee which are very very tiny, maybe diamonds as well. I don't believe such a machine could be used for stones that have a lot of inclusions such as emeralds due to their fragile nature and value or for other stones in which you have to take out inclusions & imperfections unless the computer can scan the stones internal features as well and predict with accuracy. But I could be wrong - since we only get to see the outside functions and no description at all. It's interesting though, thanks for the upload!
Naleem Mohamed i think when u put raw diamond then it will show the maximum size with minimum polishing so that way u get maximum weight and good shape of diamond.
Not really relevant, you would feed such a machine from the bottom of the barrel, synthetic or outright glass. It's not really for top of the line gems, it's for cutting cheaper material affordably and without all the grunt work. Totally great for that, not so much for cutting the expensive rocks.
@@amitkatariya5793 it's not a diamond, it's a color stones, diamonds are not cutting with water and you will fuck up all diamond by cutting this way lol
This facets exactly 100 stones at a time. The wastage is really, pretty much zero. The reason: Each stone is pre-shaped on another machine. There, the top is shaped, then it's dopped and the bottom is cut. Those dopped, pre-shaped stones are then faceted on the automatic machine. When the bottom is cut, those stones are re-dopped (turned upside down, keeping alignment) and then placed back in the machine to be recut. The waste occurs in this process, not in the automatic faceting process. Waste depends on the size/shape of the piece of rough. Many garnets have a low ratio while some tourmalines have a higher ratio.
If you or anyone that sees this text could help me finding cheap and good enough machines to cut-polish stones? Some names of producers\manufacturers. Some brands and\or models. Some links to products in Amazone or another. Some names and description of the machine so I can do my own research. In Europe or with delivery to Europe please. Whatever that can help me find a cheap but reliable machine so I can do some experiments and if I have what it takes. Thanks :)
The "cuts" of gemstones told to possible customers in Auburn Hills, MI, and in Northern Virginia, including at Naval Bases are not the true "cuts", which are Physically-occurring Shapes and should not be Political names like "Princess Cut" andor not truely Physically-occurring shape names like "diamond", "square", and "circular". "Diamond", "Square", "Circular", and names like these, are shapes that only occur in 3 Dimensions occurring in 4 Dimensional space.
Hopefully they use steel with moissanites it should hold the stones really well and be cheaper then silver I dislike handmade labor intensive products all Heil capitalism Im a fanboy of industrialization Less kid labor cuz robots are superior Higher quality per volume But I hope they would still cut it better then cz like today
Olá boa noite tudo bem com você? Eu adorei essa máquina de lapidação, pra se ter uma dessa é obrigatório fazer curso ou posso ter uma e lapidar só com o manual de instruções? Proper English would be "Full Automatic Facet Cutting Machine". It is very nice I love it.
Does this machine cut gemstones as well?
What about the wasteage ratio of the final cut stone?
