This reminds me of how a baseball pitcher moves when throwing a ball which would explain why so many retired pitchers are excellent golfers. Thank you for this tip. I thoroughly enjoy your golf tips.

Excellent - just whats needed. Real world ways of feeling whats required, not overly technical discussions. 👍

Excellent 3 minute Thursday segment Giles! I have been working on dropping the arms down and at the same time moving my body to my left side. I really like this move because it does cause me to hit the ball more solidly! Well Done Giles!

Giles the golf swing is complicated enough without 20 minutes RUclips videos trying to teach a simple concepts. Your 3 minute format with feels and drill to teach are spot on. Thank you.

I would like to see a video to learn more about how you manage your game on the course. For example: Do you use a range finder? Do you focus mainly on your preferred layup distances? How you balance the technical aspects and the flow of your game. I think I sometimes get bogged down with gathering information and planing. Any tips or ideas about when to be conservative or aggressive, or shot shaping. Things of this nature that help you to be confident or simply enjoy your game.

Guilty, dropping the arms correctly is one of my achielles' heels. I am working on it in range sessions for months now. Hopefully I finally get there someday (soon).

    Thanks Giles. Great video 👌🏼
I’d like to see a video of the hand path after impact (or “feels” for where they should be). I tend to keep the hands out towards the target rather than low and left.

Thanks Giles. Any tip on how to ensure that with the dropping of the arms you get the rotational aspect of the sequence right?

Ow, ouch. I slammed my iron into the ground and bent the shaft. Then I picked up a medicine ball and slammed it down, but it landed on my right foot and sprained my big toe which is now immobilized in a foot cast. 😖😭
    Just joking, couldn’t resist. 😜😇🙈
Good advice as always. Player just has to remember to keep the hands and grip back away from the shoulder and not pull them closer to the body thinking only of the downward throw.

Should come with health and safety warnings
