Hi everyone! POLYMER CLAY IS BACK!!! 😍 Let me know what charms I should create next. Later this week I am going to post my first Bullet Journal planning video AND Wreck This Journal. I hope you all have a great week! See you soon! ♥︎ Sarah
Arielle Davis What's wrong with bugs?? They are living things like us so people should care for them just like they care for other people! All lives matter!
My favorite thing about fall is the changing of the leaves and the cooler weather and my favorite charm is the pie slice. But they all are pretty cute.
This was like a SoCraftastic throwback! It would be fun to do a new charm video seasonally, kind of like this one, so we could still get some charm polymer clay videos once in a while.
Fave thing about Fall = Thanksgiving because it's the perfect setting & opportunity to truly give thanks to God for all our blessings while celebrating with such scrumptious dishes & recipes that cover the warmer spectrum of colors. Fave Charm = Darling Lil Slice O' PIE! Cuz it's so cute to personify food & more unusual to do pie as a charm because (as much as I love them too) pumpkins & acorns are done lots more. Thanks for sharing, and thanks for asking! Love questions like that ~
Honestly haven't been crafting with polymer clay for a long while but this video inspired me to want to go back to it !! And the pumpkin is definitely my fav!! 😍
Love the clay charms. More please!!!! ☺️ My favorite one I think is the acorn, but all three are adorable. I just love Fall, mmmm the smells, pumpkin spice everything. My odd favorite smell is of the leaves after they have fallen off and have some moisture, (strange) I know but it’s a lovely woodsy scent. 🍂☺️
These are all So Super Cute!! And look fun to make. But the slice of Pumpkin Pie is my favorite :) My favorite thing about fall is the smell of all the leaves and the pretty colors when they change.
I liked them all! You can't just like one. Talk about inspiring me to really want to make some fall charms. I love seeing your furball. Her such a cutie, I just want to pick her up and squeeze her. 🐱
my favorite thing about fall is pumpkin muffins, and you should do like a throwback type day where you do things you use to do such as rainbow loom , perler beads and beaded buddies.
i have some tips! (LONG COMMENT INCOMING I'M SORRY) -FOR DUST, while the clay is unbaked, you can remove a LOT of it using scotch tape: just gently pat it on the surface until you've grabbed it all. also, i like to use my x-acto knife/needle tools to pick out pieces from clay i haven't shaped yet. it also helps to have a scrap pile so before you start, you can knead that over and over to take a lot of the dust off your hands. this also helps for glittery clays if you don't want to spread the glitter to your next color (and you're too lazy to get up and wash your hands lol). -FOR BRANDS, i prefer fimo and premo if you want your charms to last. both of these cure with a flexibility to them. sculpey, while cheap, tends to cure very rigidly. i've had sculpey charms crumble/crack after baking. they crumble and so does my heart. -FOR GLOSS, i use polyurethane. you can get it in small cans at home depot and hardware stores, and pour a lil bit in baby food jars for easier access. it's a sealant for hardwood floors and works WONDERS for clay. i don't know if you've had this problem, but i used to gloss with the sculpey gloss and all my old charms are now sticky and dust clings to them desperately. it's awful. polyurethane is the only gloss i've found and researched that won't melt your clay, get sticky, yellow, or flake. all my charms glossed with polyurethane are still smooth and shiny after 2+ years. it cures very quickly, in a couple hours or so, and if you want the "diamond hard" cure sooner, you can pop it in the oven after an hour for about 5 minutes or less to speed up the process. -FOR ADDING PINS, i always use headpins because it gives a little stopper on the other side of the clay to keep the pin from slipping out. i've had a charm or two come right off its pin bc i'm too aggressive with my keys +__+ clay doesn't like to stick to metal. even with TLS it'll flake off after baking. so if i have to use an eyepin, i either stuff it as far down as possible and drag some clay through the opening to kinda meld it in there, or i pull them out after baking and use a glue. i know e6000 is the cult favorite but i honestly have had so many mixed results with it. maybe because my tube is too old now, idk. i now use a quick-dry glue that i think is also from the e6000 brand; the smell is TONS less offensive (it smells kinda like skunks lol) and it sets in less than 5 minutes. do more charms! i've also been out of the clay game for a while and went back to it this year. i've missed it ;v; and i've always loved your cute lil charms. i think the pumpkin is my favorite, but if you gather enough of those lil pie guys together good heavens
These are so very cute. I love the details you put into these. Definitely want to try the acorn. Maybe make acorn, pumpkin and leaf. Dangle them together and make earrings. Would be really cute. Thanks Sarah, for all you share!
Adorable video. I'm gonna try these, I'm gonna add some rose gold glitter to the orange clay instead of translucent, and probably make them a little smaller for jewelry.
