Quick-change artists normally spend years repeating their same act in order to perfect the transitions. Lea is debuting a new set of costumes with very little prep time each appearance! So impressive!
I was a little worried when her first audition was almost identical to what she did on Penn and Teller's Fool Us, but they've only gotten better each time.

I understand why some people say the performance is short, but you must consider the fact that they only have a few days to prepare for the Finale: making the props, rehearsals, rest days, etc. I mean, we have seen in her previous performances what she can really do and taking these performances into consideration, I kind of agree with Simon. She is the BEST in the world! Good luck, Lea!
She actually had to come up with two acts in a few days. One for the finals and one for the finale tomorrow.

Once. Would you watch her multiple times? It seems like something that would get old quickly.
They're right about Lea being the greatest quick-changing act. All the other ones I've seen in previous seasons would usually put a black curtain over the lady, and give her like 10 seconds to change. But Lea makes it look like the dresses fly in the air and onto her body. From her first appearance in the auditons I was stunned by her talent. She's definitely got a shot at winning.
Those curtains are what make them look magical, though.

To those that say the performance is short. Please keep in mind when you perform 1 minute feels like 5 minutes. Consider the props and all her changes happens in a second so she possible cant do 60 changes in a minute. Lea Kyle is amazing Im rooting for her to win.

@@luhstephen3016 there are quick releasing zip wires that get attached to her outer layers placed all over the set. If you notice most of the time she stops for a quick change it's next to a gap or drawer or some other trap door...there's someone there quickly latching onto loops. There are also quick release strings she pulls herself, you can see one at 1:07 with her thumb near her belly button. Then at 1:10 you see her use her left hand to clearly grab a release string that she pulls once the confetti comes flying out. Once you notice these you can see how almost every change is done.

Leah Kyle presentation of her kind of magic is addictive. I will not be fed up watching her doing her thing much better than the monotonous and redundant card magics. Not to mention she does her magic very gracefully. To me, she should be the champion.

This is so sick, it looks like magic. How is this even possible, nobody can change outfit that fast. Even if i have a hat on me and take it off, she is more faster then me. Amazing work, this is true talent.
She’s very good, her changes are faster then anyone else’s I’ve seen. By watching it in slow mo I was easily able to spot how she’s doing it. Every time she does a change she’s standing in a door way or right infront of the walls of the pictures or just infront of something, that’s because her outfit gets hooked up to something that’s quickly pulling it off then it flys in the background, maybe a wire that’s pulling. You can see in .25x every time she does a change the outfit splits in half in the front then goes behind her. The outfit is probably held together by magnets in the front down the seem. In the first change in the door way you can even spot the shirt flying away in the background as it’s being pulled off. The one change she put her arm behind her probably hooking up the wire and then another time she got close to the split in the wall and a assistant probably hooked it up for her. Still awesome in real time as it’s very hard to see any of that. Also I thought it was funny how her very first quick change was messed up as the change didn’t happen under the cover of the glitter, it happened just after it fell and in slow mo you can see the outfit split and fly away lol, but non the less even without the cover it looks instant in normal speed and still looks magical, even the mess up looked good lol

It definitely needs some refining to make every change seamless, but Lea is 100% going to have a massive career!
Lea should do a trick on a tv show where she somehow finds out what the judges will be wearing on the show and change Into the judges outfits. Not knowing how the trick is done it would be so powerful of a trick if she was able to bring all the judges up onto the stage and sit them down there and just touch there shoulder or give them a high five or a hug. She is so talented and has refined this show so much since penn and teller

This is definitely the best and cleanest that she has performed. What she does is so technical, she is very creative and talented. I've watched her and cannot figure out how she does it - am sure it is something with computers/ technology and incredible, no matter how it is done.
There is someone behind the backdrop who ‘sucks’ in the dresses at an exact moment. Plus she pulls a cord when she is on her own like the swing and the hula hoop. She just does it so fast that it’s hard to notice.

When we see those clothes getting sucked, ripped, unfolded, etc, what we see is science. It's no longer an art. We're just seeing someone unpacking her preparations for the performance. Minimal creativity and showmanship involved.
We just see her removing the layers of clothes she was wearing.
I hope the audience remember that those who use coverings/distractions change to noticeably different clothes. They're not just ripping off layers of clothing.

I believe that these clothes are attached to some elastic ropes and someone is pulling it or some mechanism is pulling it backwards by strong force. Thats why she is always near to some structures. But who knows...

There is a video, where this act is slowed down and i slowed it down even more by pressing play and stop quickley. It look like the clothes are spitting down the middle and pulled back really quickly.. But where the clothes go??? ,

I can hardly believe it, but Leah Kyle has improved her act by a huge amount since the first time I saw her. Her's is absolutely the best "quick change" act in the world. Penn and Teller said it best when they said that she didn't really do a "quick change" act, she does a great magic act that involves her clothes. I'd pay big money to watch her live.

I hate to break the bad news, but there is no way she could do this on a runway. One of my students in China does a quick face mask change and from him, I learned the basic technique that she uses over and over and over and then over again. I not going to disclose how she does it, but once you know the secret you cannot ever unsee it. BTW, I am a friend of Nina and Nicoli from Russia, one of the pioneers of and greats of the original styles of the quick change, and as good as they are, Leah Kyle is one of the world's best.

That was actually interesting because it’s the first time she did an act this season where Florian was out of reach for the last 2 changes. Typically she has to be against a structure so he can reach her.
watch those vids again... she isn't next to those all the time. now if Florian made her clothes, then he's a beast. however he doesn't
I'm pretty sure she used the hula hoop to trigger a mechanism that is probably hidden by the cape, maybe a mechanical winder with a lever to activate it. I'm pretty sure they were clinging to her back and the cape was hiding it when she was up front. Then maybe hidden underneath her dress somehow. Idk, we don't get to see behind her at the end.

In the first change in the door way you can even spot the shirt flying away in the background as it’s being pulled off. The one change she put her arm behind her probably hooking up the wire and then another time she got close to the split in the wall and a assistant probably hooked it up for her. Still awesome in real time as it’s very hard to see any of that. Also I thought it was funny how her very first quick change was messed up as the change didn’t happen under the cover of the glitter, it happened just after it fell and in slow mo you can see the outfit split and fly away lol, but non the less even without the cover it looks instant in normal speed and still looks magical, even the mess up looked good lol
