- I was asked a question that is video worthy on the W5 vs Hughes CNC'd ported Big Mouth heads that are from an Edelbrock casting. There is no doubt both will make/allow a lot of power. I'll just be choosing the W5 for the lightened track Duster and the CNC'd BM heads on the street car.
Those W5's are impressive for sure!
Thanks. I like them. Low lift is a little weak.
I like both sets Rob, are they set up for mechanical roller ?
Yes!
Nice , are either one of those for sale anymore?hughes doesnt say they have , and i dont see any W5's anywhwere.
I e had these Hughes BM heads for a long while now. I was about to build up an engine but, life got in the way. Stupendously!!!
The W5 has been discontinued for a very long time now.. I would suggest ether the new Trick Flow head for a street strip engine or an Indy head.
@@Robs-Garage-experiments Thank you I bought trick Flows 190 cc,I would like to see a flow test by them too. not much inofrmation out there. One guy posted videos of dyno tests and results with race gas and then E-5 , but he removed all the videos
The Trick Flows are an excellent head.
Hey brother man what’s the rocker part #Number of them
The rockers aren’t in front of me now. There up at Charlie’s now. But I suppose you want the numbers to get a set. Just know they are not made anymore. Used is the only option.
Get new rockers from TD, Jesel or Harland Sharp.
w5 they leaked like a sive
Sorry to read this.
Sorry to read this
I wonder what the combustion chambers look like.
I’ll show in a video, sorry about that.
@@Robs-Garage-experiments I noticed there is no pushrod pinch in the ports, they should make good power. The mopars bore spacing is wide a person should be able to stretch them to close to 500 inches. I've never seen what those engines will do maxed out power wise.
@@davidreed6070 I agree they "SHOULD" make some good power. I was bummed when the port gave up andithad to have epoxy used in it. It is what it is.,
The largest I have read a SBM can go is 472. Anything beyond that has to be creative or just simply have a block meaty enough to take a bore size to help get there. IIRC, a "Ritter" block would do the trick,
*I Think!*
W5 Chambers show inthis video below;

@@Robs-Garage-experiments not many people take them all the way like they do SBCs , but there is no reason they won't make big power
another visit I noticed the extra material at the top of the W-5 head over the intake. I wonder can the roof be raised much more for a serious race engine?
Excellent question, I don’t know the answer. Brett Miller would know.
Of the crane rocker

@@Robs-Garage-experiments if you going to update to a different one I will buy doses one or if you know someone that has a set let me know I have w 2 racing head new
@@juanperez-gw3tp Hi Juan. I'm not sure what your saying or asking.
@@juanperez-gw3tp The W2 head has avilable to them rockers from Hardlaand sharp in the Econoor race head, Jesel and TD also have rockersfor the W2.
