Heads up don’t use ice fury above 2 targets unless you are trying to prio damage or for movement. Also always make sure you get the fire spell after so it procs Fusion.
Also chain lighting on 2 targets. Remember overload is still just 35% more damage where as chain lighting hits both targets for basically lighting bolt damage. Unless there’s some reason you want more maelstrom it would be a dps loss. And now that I think about it it’s even more of a loss now. We basically guarantee overloads with high mastery+ storm tree, so an extra overload means even less in 2 target cleave.

This guide was crazy. It completely got me up to speed with my rotations, and I now have so much more of an understanding of how to play Elemental. Incredible. My damage output has almost doubled.

Hey something that helped me a lot was changing 6 7 8 on my bar to Q E R because those binds don't do anything important. That made 3 more abilities easy to click
Use 1,2,3,4,5. And Q,E,R,F,V. For offensive And if you can use all these with shift again, Shift+1 shift+2 shift+q..... for totems, def cd, Bl etc. And try to put skills that you use often on 1-3 and q,e sorry for my english im german :D
If we are talking ST, probably mostly for raid, I would really recommend Aftershock instead of Surge of power. Both are super viable but especially with the intense movement we have in Nerub-ar, having your build be more forgiving in terms of order is great and has improved my damage on bosses like Bloodbound Horror by quite a lot!
Thank you for going through the rotation slowly, button by button. I’ve seen content creators pop bloodlust and just go ape shit when trying to show the rotation like I need to see the damage potential lol it’s much easier to learn it starting slowly

I tried the wowhead build. tried my own build was terrible.. but this one legit doubled my dps compared to any of the other builds I tried. thank u so much! huge difference! went from struggling to do 5-6 keys and can comfortably do 8-9 keys! You also explain it. made all the sense I never understood!
I ran a sim but to be fair I have low Haste ( 10 ) and low Mas ( 30 ) so if you had the stats at the right numbers maybe the new build from the experts would be better but this build sims higher for me. I do not think people should put him down for thinking outside of the box and if he and others enjoy this build then good cause in the end having fun and competitive for the keys your doing is all that matters.
I was wondering if you'd be willing to do another ele shaman rotation build it seems there is a new setup for mythic+/raid. I've been struggling understand it fully and your previous videos have been a great help!

@@nickross76 In AOE packs, use Icefury to generate Maelstrom... I'd use Icefury as soon as it procs, but you don't necessarily have to use the frost shocks afterwards until you've cleared some other priority buttons. I side of Ascendance windows, basically don't use Icefury unless you're on single target.
My 590 shaman is doing more dps than my 616 lock. Ironically i was getting mastery and haste gear because I thought it was like dragonflight lol so I inherently set myself up for success.
This build seems a lot more interesting but even in your video you have 3m with surge of power and 3.5 (spike at 5) with after shock. You said surge is the way to go. Is it because when you are off cd you make more damage?
@@Hassan-tp9pf Surge tends to be more consistent in ST Anson these AOE packs, the surge of power buff isn't even being utilized at all... You need at least 6 targets for a surge of power chain lightning to gain value and there's only 5 dummies here.
So what's the stat order we need because I used to focus on mastery then I read mastery was bad and we needed more haste... now I'm seeing mastery again I'm so lost.
So in the beginning of the patch we wanted literally 0 mastery. However with this new patch mastery is our new main stat. In the video he said we want like 50% mastery, I don't know if we need THAT much but as much mastery as you can is the better route.

Is it just me, or was it a really d**k move from Blizzard to change the stat priority in the middle of a season and not with a season restart? As far as I know, Ele shaman had a Crit + Haste priority, and now you have Mastery + Haste. I really wanted to try my Shammy after the update, but when I logged in and I realized my mastery is like 18% and I need to recraft all the items and change my previously BiS gear to grow a lot of mastery (+ 32% at least based on Zuco), I just rage quited the game... Like WTF Blizzard?

This is true, but this is definitely a viable build, and probably preferable to your average pug player. I started running a very similar build myself, and it pumps hard. A couple reasons for this are a lot of people despise running Echoes talent (myself included) this frees up some points. Also I got rid of Elemental Equilibrium. I just know I’m not gonna be great at tracking when it’s available, and it just feels awkward AF trying to work Icefury in just to get a 10 sec buff in AoE. It’s also nice to have LMT up to start every pull during all the downtime while Ascendance is on cool down. The builds on the guides are optimal, but something like this just feels cleaner to play and are still doing bonkers damage. Also in the super high keys they are a lot better at lining up huge pulls specifically for something like Ascendance. Your average pug is not going to always have that, so having some more tools on the smaller average plus when Asc. is down just feels better to me.
The other builds work much better in higher keys (like 12+), because the mobs last a lot longer, so you can get value out of Echoes... The build I'm showing here also works on those higher keys, but prob does a bit less dmg. But on the lower keys, this simpler build works very well.

Sure there's other builds with EotGs and/or no LMT, etc... those are fine, those builds also work, but this one does too. Ive tested it extensively and it works. I got 55 and can go up to 60 probably although i will be missing a lot of haste. 624 i lvl. Maybe i can get a ring from boralus and a couple of gear i still have crit haste to push it some more but im not sure how much ots worth.
Ascendance is broken and does not send the Flame shocks or Lavabursts on multiple targets, so if you are trying to get the haste buff from consuming your prim wave, you wanna still use LMT to spread some Flame shocks. Not sure how it will work if they ever decide to fix Ascendance (specifically weather you’ll wanna drop it before Ascendance or not), but I still like LMT to open with on all the pulls that you don’t have Ascendance.

You can just use flame shock, it’s volcanic damage that’s nature and fire together so it will proc ele blast after fury.
@@nadiamond LB gives more maelstrom. So for single target it is better. But 2 target you still get less maelstrom but it hits for more damage.

Mastery used to be bad before, now it's the best stat, mastery-haste and you'll be ok.
You should always sim yourself! I have a lot of mastery BiS hero items and some of my crit haste gear sims better.
Mastery > Haste > Crit > Vers

Its def worth it... You gotta be ready for when it procs, but if you are, it's really strong. Getting Tempest procs inside of Ascendance is bonkers.

why would you LMT before Ascendance? it already puts out max FS so it's a wasted global in the 'setup phase'

It’s just not working on dummies. It’s works in content. Most M+ builds do not run LmT right now. It’s not great

Ele needs buffs, we can't take anymore nerfs. If they do this wrong we will be useless and a dead spec.
