Trailer carrying touring Monster Jam trucks catches fire on Sacramento highway

The Megalodon and Scooby-Doo monster trucks from Monster Jam were damaged in a trailer fire on Highway 50 in Sacramento. Officials aren't sure how the fire was started, but they said it's an expensive loss.

Dang, I just saw these trucks at the LA Monster Jam this past weekend. As a truck driver myself, a trailer fire is always a concern of mine. It's good that no one seems to have been hurt, though. Hopefully, the damage to the trucks wasn't too severe and they can be repaired soon!

It got hot enough to char the paint. Both chassis's are gonna need to be partially rebuilt. Monster truck fires absolutely suck for all involved.

If they do, then they'll very likely be using substitute chassis. I really don't think they'd be able to be repaired in time.
