The Intrepid and Main Theme from the anime series Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, played by the WDR Funkhausorchester and WDR Rundfunkchor under the baton of Christopher Dragon.
Recorded live on 18 April 2024 in the Philharmonie Cologne as part of the youth concert "Anime mal anders: Symphonic Dreams". At this concert, the WDR Funkhausorchester and WDR Rundfunkchor played great anime soundtracks and, like the audience, wore costumes of popular anime characters.

Were the musicians asked to dress up? I like the idea that the members of the orchestra was given the option to dress up and those that did picked their favorite anime.

The costumes are references to varies anime btw, mostly from Ghibli
Die Kostüme sind übrigens verschiedene Anime-Referenzen, überwiegend von Studio Ghibli Filmen

Wie viele Figuren habt ihr unter den Musikern entdeckt?
Also ich habe gefunden:
Ruffy, Zorro und Nami aus One Piece
Prinzessin Mononoke (sogar 2 mal, wenn ich das gaaanz am Ende richtig gesehen habe) aus dem gleichnamigen Ghibli Film
Kakashi, Sakura und Naruto?? (Cello rote Haare??) aus Naruto
Sheeta und Pazu aus Das Schloss im Himmel
Edward aus Fullmetal Alchemist
Ash aus Pokemon
Dann noch ein paar "Freestyle" Outfits oder ich konnte es einfach nicht zuordnen. Bei den Masken stehe ich zum Beispiel auch auf dem Schlauch 😅
