I grow up listening to her and I wish I would have got the chance to just see her live. I was 6 when she passed away. I remember my family crying and not believing what was on the news. She is a legend and had a big heart. If she was still a live there is not doubt she would be one of the biggest stars in the world.
I was 5 years old and I was watching primer impacto when they said Selena had died. I remembered how I felt as if my whole world was going down, she was my first great loss. She was my favorite singer, I wanted to be like her lol. Now I’m 28 and I cannot watched or listen to her without crying or feeling a sadness deep inside me. I didn’t knew her in person or anything but somehow she made her way to my 5 years old heart. Selena will always be the best.

I grow up listening to her and I wish I would have got the chance to just see her live. I was 6 when she passed away. I remember my family crying and not believing what was on the news. She is a legend and had a big heart. If she was still a live there is not doubt she would be one of the biggest stars in the world.
I was 5 years old and I was watching primer impacto when they said Selena had died. I remembered how I felt as if my whole world was going down, she was my first great loss. She was my favorite singer, I wanted to be like her lol. Now I’m 28 and I cannot watched or listen to her without crying or feeling a sadness deep inside me. I didn’t knew her in person or anything but somehow she made her way to my 5 years old heart. Selena will always be the best.

trust me when I say, she made her way to my heart when I was 19. There are days when I wish I could hug her. Let her know that I love her. Yet I believe she probably knows. I never got to talk to her either before her situation, but I feel some connection, just by the movie, her career, and probably because she was a friend of my father’s family. Just found out this year recently.
Whatever dude. What did you understand about death at that age? When 9/11 happened I was maybe 7 or 8 and didn't understand the magnitude of thousands of people dying to that attack. Now that I'm older I understand the seriousness of people dying that day. I can't say my world came crashing down when she died because I was too young to understand death and murder.

I feel the same way. I was born almost a month after she was killed. And now that I am 23 (almost 24) I realize what a phenomenal entertainer and person she was. I wish she was here, I wish she got to have a family with Chris, but most of all, I wish Yolanda hadn't decided that bringing a gun was the best course of action just because she was going to be fired. She should have known that there were other ways she could've handled being fired than to shoot Selena. That's what makes me so angry and so sad about Selena's murder. She didn't have to die.
