Suzhou is definitely my priority to live after retirement, 20 mins to Shanghai, one third of Shanghai’s property prices, and it’s so chill and foods is absolutely amazing.
In ancient China, areas south of the Yangtze River such as Suzhou and Hangzhou were prosperous places in the true sense. They truly interpreted what it means to be a gathering of humanity and highly developed economically and culturally.
Usually I think, old fashions ..just look old fashioned ..and not good ..but the girls in Han fu just look absolutely beautiful ...I don't think it could ever look 'old' fashioned
I have a home in Shanghai, but when i retire i prefer to settle in SuZhou or WuXi (a neighboring city to SuZhou surrounded by a gigantic lake), so much chilled...

Visit Hangzhou and tour West Lake, where you will experience the poetic charm of a paradise on earth. The saying "Heaven above, Suzhou and Hangzhou below" perfectly captures the endless beauty of these two cities. “上有天堂,下有苏杭” ("Just as there is paradise in heaven, there are Suzhou and Hangzhou on earth.") "Heaven above, Suzhou and Hangzhou below." or "Paradise in heaven, Su-Hang on earth" This phrase is a well-known Chinese proverb that highlights the stunning beauty of Suzhou and Hangzhou, comparing them to paradise on Earth.
Suzhou is the best city in China in my opinion. It's in the middle of it, close to Shanghai, a bit far but managable to get to beaches, close to rivers, mountains, lakes... It has a super interesting history and both a preserved core and a large modern area, it's a huge city that has many spots that look like quaint towns, it has foreigners but not too much like Shanghai and Beijing. Beautiful parks, temples, malls... I love sweet food and Wuxi, to the left, is the sweet capital of China so.... Suzhou is just... Perfection. A perfect located well-balanced city. The only thing I love that Suzhou doesn't have are beaches, if you don't count the Tai lake beaches.
Guys, Suzhou is one of “the” most beautiful cities in China, enjoys the stay there. The enthusiasm of your guys makes this Chanel great, I do enjoy watching it!!
your gondola rower was cracking me up lol wow favorite city so far? kind of surprising 😲. just wait til summer there. right next to a lake it's hot and humid 😅
They haven't gone to Jinan, which is full of springs, Tianjin, which is full of historical sites, Dunhuang in Gansu, or Salt Lake in Qinghai. There are many places they haven't been to yet.
45minutes seem to be very short. Humble administrator's Garden is such a good garden that I can spend a whole day in it. Love the boat ride experience. SuZhou is a romantic city for sure! A lot of romantic stories happened there.
OK I try to make the city list you have travel in mainland China 😅. Shanghai. Beijing. Tianjin. Chengdu. Urumqi (in xinjiang province). Xi'an. Chongqing. Zhangjiajie. Guangzhou. Shenzhen. Kunming. Dali. Wuhan. Zhengzhou. Lijiang. Shangri-La. Nyingchi and lhasa and shigatse (3 cities in Tibet province). Naning. Suzhou. 😂 I don't know if you guys have been to Hangzhou or not, can't remember 😂
I had been to Suzhou at least three times and still wish to visit another time! Those stone structures are not natural but stones harvested from the West Lake and built by artisans!
The stones are most likely Taihu stones. The last emperor of the Song(North) dynasty loved those things and wasted lots of lives and money to move those stones to his palace. Then came the famous Jingkang incident, one of the most well-known falls of a dynasty in Chinese history.
I have been to sue Joe for the last decade. It’s a beautiful city. Loved your video a Chinese said mountain of people sea of people! But but Western described as China economy collapse. LOL😂
Agree! They need to follow India’s lead to dump ashes from cremation to fertilize the water, but difficult to find dead cows for the water attractions…not to mention asking the locals to skip private showers and bath in public 😉

I love the buildings by the water with the weeping Willow trees dangling by, so gorgeous and romantic!
Maybe thousands of years ago, people on this land were also like this, skiing in small boats and humming little songs. This experience is great😆
14:00 - this garden is so beautiful, would be very relaxing to walk through
