Cars do safety tests but only at speed of 60kmph. But accidents do happen for cars below 60kmph as well as above 60kmph. Hope my explanation helps.

From my personal opinion price range of vision pro is truly deserving, cuz 5 camera and sensor…much more it’s actually revolutionary tbh. So they can put the price cuz there isn’t any other company put forth something like this b4 , I haven’t researched and all but I haven’t seen something like this b4. And for the charging as you mentioned it’s block which u can keep it with in ur pocket and suppose they included the charger within the headset , don’t you feel it will be heavier. Easily would replace phone culture by 2035ish, but a country like ours would take time though. And pricing is actually not at all practical for a VR headset, as you mentioned Vision Pro ain't the first with all these features, I use a Meta Quest Pro (around 93K) and I have been using most of the features Vision Pro mentions on my Quest Pro. Although, I could see a significant difference on the display and chipset, yet, Vision Pro pricing is utterly mad. They are just trying to normalise overpriced products.
