Taking a trip back to the late 70's now and the BBC1 sci-fi drama Blake's 7. We take a look at the main cast of the first series and ask.....Where are they now?
Why they have never redone blake 7 is a tragedy. The original cast were extremely good actors and they did a lot on a small budget. With the special effects available now Blake7 could be reworked and allow those that remember this cult Sci-fi show another lease of life. Avon & Villa were in my opinion the best characters. When Gareth left it lost a bit of its shine. The ending was so good. No one could believe the ending at the time. Great series great memories. As the decades go by i like to watch them again as they really were good for a low budget sci-fi.
As time goes on, I'm quite glad there was no remake, reboot or whatever. Most of the resurrected series and reimagined movies I've seen have either jetisonned what made the originals good or just trample over their memory.
Nice Video! I was late to Blakes 7 when I was a child, I have just spent the last week watching every episode... I bought the DVD Boxed Set. I also find it fascinating to consider a reboot - The old 70's show was far from perfect, and I do feel like many it could do with a modern reboot... Though the Late Paul Darrow (Kerr Avon) did suggest that we already had one... It was called FIREFLY (I have never actually watched that show... And "Avon" saying that is this generations Blakes 7... I WANT TO WATCH IT NOW!) However, I do see a major issue... With any possible reboot... WHO could replace The Amazing Jaqueline Pearce and Paul Darrow? Both were so iconic in their roles, it is hard to imagine anyone else in their place...I can pick a potential Servalan - Morena Baccarin who played ANNA in the V reboot, She has that look... I think she could make a good Servalan, Never compete with the Beautiful Ms. Pearce of course, but she could pull it off! But KERR AVON is DAMN NEAR IMPOSSIBLE to imagine... Paul Darrow bought a very Shakespearian Aspect to his role, I feel it would have to be a Stage Actor who knows how to channel the Classic Shakespeare to make it work... I am sure we can all think of Hollywood stars we would like to cast, but Darrow simply owned that role... He is and always will be FOREVER AVON! Side Note... Jan Chapel (Cally) - My word, Has she got more beautiful as she has got older! WOW!
Nothing outstanding here that a Google search would not reveal. Personally, I hate you tubers who don’t say anything and just have a sound track. Make it more interesting and engaging.
I do find I agree to a point... I prefer to hear a RUclipsrs voice than a soundtrack... As for Google Searching, The whole point of videos like this is to bring the main information into one small digestible place... ... As a Child I grew up with Blakes 7, I was introduced late (I believe it was Season 3) - So many of the characters and Actors I did not know! So Googling them is not that easy, takes more effort that many cannot be bothered with! So A Channel like this giving a small but concise overview of what happened to the main cast after a classic series is no longer on air is appreciated! The Soundtrack thing though - Yes, I agree with that! I don't hate it but would prefer to hear a voice...

Yes, I only did the main cast in the first season. I do that for most videos. The reason is the videos get too long snd people don’t watch them.

At the time i much preffered blakes 7 to star trek which i thought was very lame with pathetic creatures
