This video is excellent. There is a small error at about 2:35, where they point to 125 degrees, instead of 135 degrees, and state that 135 falls between 120 and 130. Not huge, but a common error for beginners learning to use a protractor.

Using the inner or outer numbers depends on which way your angle opens from. Whichever 0 degrees the base ray is pointing to determines which set of degress you read from. Good luck!

It should work the same. Look at the last video on our playlist that came back to protractors that don't have a rivet in the middle. Extend the rays of the angle so they cross the protractor.
