It definitely is not great as a setting powder! Perhaps the spf protection is ok, I have no way of testing that aspect. It does not sit well on the skin. I am disappointed in it. Back to my Urban Decay setting powder and I’ll use this as an spf touch up only.
I actually haven't tried washing it yet 🤷♀️ You could probably lock the bottom part so no powder comes out, then carefully wash the brush and make sure it's completely dry before using it again, hope that helps!
Brush and powder are detachable! I clean mine once every two weeks and between powder changers

You can unscrew the bottom compartment with the powder. Then just clean like other brushes and let dry.
