It's definitely a lovely fragrance, longevity is not bad. The cherry dissappears too quickly imo tho and it becomes more like the OG mixed with last years vanilla release. So I'm not sure now I feel about it and if it is different enough in the end for me to commit to a bottle. Let's see as I keep testing it 🤷♀️🍒😜 xx

I've been surprised how this note took off in recent years. Tom Ford really kicked off a trend with cherry. Black currant is still my all time favorite fruity note. It always smells amazing.

I've binged watched your fragance reviews this last couple of days. Love how specific you are when it comes to the notes.
After buying the og black opium and being extremely dissapointed by the chaos of the notes- I'm hesitant about trying this one. I prefer D&G The Only One for this scent profile.

I'm a fan of the Only One as well, and I recently purchased (and enjoy) Creed Carmina for the cherry notes. I just ordered Over Red and I hope I won't regret it. I have Cherry Ambition and Lost Cherry as well. I think growing up with Jergens lotion makes cherry fragrances nostalgic.
@@merrytunes8697 I'm searching for a fragrance with a cherry note. I have Lost Cherry in my cart but I don't know how I feel about the smokiness that some reviewers have mentioned. In my case the nostalgia factor comes from the tuberose - my grandma and mom were obssesed with lou lou and hypnotic poison
It's very nice. While I wish the cherry note was a little longer-lasting, it was still very much there for a few hours before drying down into a sweet vanilla scent.
I also think this gave me a "cherry-vanilla cola" vibe but in an elevated classy way.
It ticked all my boxes for a nice winter fragrance. I bought the full bottle with no regrets!❤

Coffe/ oudy DR. Pepper to me :) and then when the cherry disappears all that's left is a very sweet and heavy coffee oud scent...
The bottle is nice. I don’t love the original dna, but the extreme version converted me. I ran through the extreme travel size and now only own the nuit blanche version, my sotd. I’m thinking of selling it and replacing it with extreme. Le parfum is also lovely. I will try the cherry next time I see it out.
I finally tried it last week, as I couldn't wait for it to appear in the stores where I live. I sprayed it on skin and on the blotter, and they developed quite differently, in my opinion. On skin the cherry note vanished quite quickly and I was left with the strong original Black Opium DNA. On paper, however, the cherry note lasted much longer and the scent was more interesting. Longevity was good in both cases. Unfortunately, due to how it acted on my skin, I don't see the need to buy it, as I already have the original Black Opium. I'm curious to find out what you think about it after wearing it on skin.
It was beautiful I just want the cherry scent to last, I wish they would of done it as the base

I own all of them I think and I reach for the illicit green, extreme, and over red all the time! Love le parfum but it’s a soft sweet vanilla and more of an evening thing for me. The cherry note on over red lasts on me 6-7 hours which is amazing! It reminds me of sonic cherry coke or Dr Pepper 😂
I tried it today on a blotter and yes directly dna black opium but the cherry note is also for me far away...

Hi Arlene!!!! I sniffed both The TF V Sex and the BO Red, I was not impressed! On me the cherry pulled cough syrup! Lol! So they both are big no’s! Hopefully it will work for you.
Admittedly, I'm not a fan of Black Opium but I tested this version because I love cherry and the first 10 minutes were delicious. It smelled like Cherry Dr. Pepper to me. But after the short opinion, it was just the same BO that smells a bit cheap to my nose. Too bad because this had potential.
I got a sample yesterday. The cherry in the opening is really nice. But it disappears quickly, and the drydown smells like a lighter version of the original, and i’m not a fan of the black opium dna. It’s also a bit medicinal.
This sounds really nice. I'm still loving the Le Parfum. So good!! ❤ I also finally got Cherry Punk and Cherry Punk Extrait. 🍒 I really like both of them. I can't say I find them super different from each other. But I need to test a little more to see. But that being said, from the slight differences I am preferring the Extrait a little more. And btw I swear the original is like Tom Fords Lost Cherry and Ombre Leather had a baby. Lol. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about cherry and leather together, but they go surprisingly well. Who knew? 🤷🏼♀️

@@DeliciousDelights You def should. It's worth a shot! And then if you can, get a sample of Cherry Punk. I don't know if Ministry of Scent ships to Europe, but they have the samples of it and the Extrait for only $5 each. 😊
I really like the top cherry note not sour doesn't smell like chap stick but the cherry note they should of made it last longer to continue the dance with the notes I think their is an earthy note that is a bit to strong for me and is off putting I'm not to ok about the notes when they dry down but it's still a nice perfume
It got me Lost Cherry vibes..to me this is a more affordable version of Tom Ford´s exclusive.
