What model is that autel scanner? I was about to start fuckin with the abs module but I might try this. It got aligned in January , and about a month and a half ago all lights turned on Except abs light , but traction, tpms, traction, ldw and fcw are on. I wonder if this is what’s needed?
Hi, I have a 2016 honda accord with the ABS light on and ABS will not engage. I think it may be the abs module electronic soders failing. But I can't be sure that that is the issue. Did this work for you?
Great video! You have a new subscriber. I bought a 2017 Honda Accord that is missing the driver wheel airbag. I drove it for a block and I get this code DTC 27_13. Can I use this scanner to reset the Steering wheel angle? Or do I need a new Steering angle sensor? Thanks,
My 2015 Honda Civic got a steering rack replacement due to a previous collision damage and it damaged the clock spring and steering angle. The electronic rack replacement was done and a few days ago I replaced the clock spring. Car works fine but as soon as I accelerate over 10 mph the traction control light starts blinking and the gas pedal starts to make a loud grinding noise and the car immediately stops. In order to use my car I have to turn off the traction control manually and it works like a charm. Front end alignment was done but the steering wheel seems to be slightly misaligned. Will recalibrating the steering angle sensor solve the issue?
Yes, you need to calibrate steering angle sensor. The lights and pedal vibrating is the abs system activating due to steering angle sensor not being calibrated
@@themodernmechanic428 I had the system recalibrated and the issue is gone and the steering wheel is straight. The only issue is now I have the tcs off permanently on. Any idea why?
Good video. Procedure not shown in other youtube videos. What I don't understand is when they say to center the steering wheel but the wheels are not straight. If I drive straight, my steering wheel is about 12deg off to the left.
@@themodernmechanic428 Kind of you to reply. I don't think so but it is always possible. Can I recalibrate, neutral-learn, with scan tool to correct? Videos show ABS/SAS relearn and drive 10 ft to learn what straight is. Hoping for easy fix. Maybe doing as you say is best
@@themodernmechanic428 , You are correct. I don't know how but I removed the steering wheel and it was off. I feel stupid. Now I caused a problem trying to recalibrate my ABS/SAS and steering angle. I wish you lived near Providence RI. THANK YOU!!!
@@GoharHayatt too long of an explanation to explain I detail but basically, modern cars have electric steering racks with torque sensors that if not calibrated will cause the car to pull. Also the new cars with the lane keep assist systems need to be calibrated in order to stay in the lane correctly.
@@themodernmechanic428 I just got an alignment on my accord 17’ I noticed when ever I come to a complete stop my steering wheel tilts to the left , what kind of mechanic can I take my car so they can reset my steering angle ?
My 2017 honda civic hatchback has this problem my steering wheel is a bit to the left and when i center it. When i correct it it turns a little bit and i feel like i need to give pull down to keep it driving straight. Its like i am driving my old 97 civic hx. @@themodernmechanic428 gotcha mines doesn’t turn sharp enough you have to turn wide to make a sharp turn. And they don’t have power steering fluid since it’s electronic.
I’ve done it on a Ford but not sure on honda. Most likely you have to use a j2534 pass through device with a laptop and a subscription to Honda oem software. You can contact autel tho and they will give you more accurate information.
This one is about $3000 dollars. Worth it if you do this type of work but if you just want for personal home use there is a cheaper one that’s like $300 I think.
Please continue showing autel in use vídeos
Great video. Thanks
Can I change the sensor then take it to a shop for a relearn or does it have to be done as soon as it’s installed?
I can't use this feature on any of the Honda vehicles I've tried. Says function not supported. Autel Ms906 pro-ts.

What does Steering Angle do for the car or do to the car ? I have the same device? Just trying to learn it ?
The car knows when the steering wheel is straight. If you do an alignment, it needs to be re-calibrated
