Was looking for a tree stand and someone on Reddit said "look at saddle hunting" and I've been losing sleep thinking about it ever since due to the fact that I am way too excited about this upcoming hunting season now!!! I just cannot stop thinking about it! Evening Matt, you do a great job on your channels. Full of information and good nice voice quality. Thank you. This saddle would be a huge upgrade from my rock harness. Which pinches during long periods around the leg straps.
Really enjoy your channel and reviews. This will be my first season saddle hunting & the Sidewinder would be a great way for me to begin. I hunt public lands and getting deep in the woods is a real advantage, and the Sidewinder will allow me to get deeper than most hunters. Keep up the great work.

I'll be honest just subscribed. Been looking into saddles I'm typically a climber guy but looking for a change. Just watched a old vid of yours on a different saddle and found this vid. Thanks for breaking the set up down I learned a bit.
I subscribed back when you did your first saddle review. Thanks for the great content and keep it up. I ended up purchasing the Cruzr last year and absolutely love it. I ended up with a nice 9 point in Missouri on opening day using it. I do have a suggestion for those who have sagging issues. If the amsteel is long enough extend it fully and throw it over a shoulder. I actually use my linemen's rope like this & don't have the sagging issue as a result.
Also a new hunter and new to saddle, would love the opportunity win this to try different ones! The honest review is what will keep me coming back to learn about other gear you've tried though!

Looks great. I love the idea of the g-hook to make it compact for the walk in, but it was good to know you shouldn't connect the leg steps if using the g-hook on the walk in. I would love to have one of these.

I appreciate the honest review as it helps to narrow down what can be a big investment. I'm an Agriculture Science Teacher and Hunter Ed. Instructor in Texas and I'll be going to archery hunt public land out of state for only the 2nd time this year. Last year was unsuccessful from the ground. Id love to win this saddle! Ive been looking at saddles for a long time but wasnt keen on the price. CGM changed that! Also, with that rear Ghook, perhaps some careful dremel work could help alleviate some of the hangup. You would have to be careful to not leave any sharp edges but I think it could work.
Great review as always!! It seems to me that in an effort to make adjustments on some of these saddles that they can become a little complicated. But maybe that's just me! The price is perfect though lol.

Don't understand how that amsteel belt is slipping. I've got whoopie sling suspension on my camping hammock and it's never slipped. Is it not a traditional bury? or perhaps not enough bury? Definitely interested in the drawing if it's still going.
I have looked at a lot of saddles and it looks like that may be the one for me and at $180 it makes the decision easy. if I can replace the belt ! I would love to win this one a spend the money on the rest of the gear that I will need.

Great review as always!! It seems to me that in an effort to make adjustments on some of these saddles that they can become a little complicated. But maybe that's just me! The price is perfect though lol.

Don't understand how that amsteel belt is slipping. I've got whoopie sling suspension on my camping hammock and it's never slipped. Is it not a traditional bury? or perhaps not enough bury? Definitely interested in the drawing if it's still going.

I have looked at a lot of saddles and it looks like that may be the one for me and at $180 it makes the decision easy. if I can replace the belt ! I would love to win this one a spend the money on the rest of the gear that I will need.
