- Since decades the psychologist, author and composer Dr. Arnd Stein is valid as a forerunner for especially composed relaxation music which causes an astonishingly calming and concentration-supporting effect on the whole organism (de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arnd_St....
The relaxation effect of these compositions originates above all from a unique synthesis of music and psychology. The attractive melodies and the well-balanced range of sounds look extremely pleasant and relaxing. The rhythm of these relaxation compositions was also chosen after psychological points of view: The continuously time signature of 60 beats per minute causes an especially deep relaxation. Clinical studies have proved: After about 10 minutes respiration, pulse and even the brain activity follow this sound suggestion and settle down at the personal rest rhythm of the listener.
On account of its special qualities the relaxation music by Dr. Stein is successfully used in different psychological and educational areas. Finally, the founder of the so-called Superlearning - the Bulgarian medical doctor G. Losanov - already pointed before decades on the astonishing relaxation- and concentration-supporting effect of quiet music which should possibly come close to a time signature of 60 beats per minute.
