Literally only clicked on this video because the thumbnail made the dress look like it was made of plastic bags. I stayed because it ended up being a very beautifully crafted piece of clothing! Amazing!
Omg, I can't believe I never thought about putting the pieces underneath the tulle, pinning and THEN cut it out! I've been cutting pattern pieces and trying to match them up for ages. I love you!!
I love watching you work with making your own pattern. My mom's septmother could never afford patterns in the 1930-1940's. She would windowshop & go home and cut patterns out of old newspaper.
I love your work so much Angela, I'm in the final throws of sewing my own Cinderella gown and I love to come back to your videos for inspiration! Your talent never ceases to amaze me 🌸
absolutely mesmerizing. you are wise beyond your years! nice to see the younger generation taking an interest in sewing although I would say this is more than sewing, your creativeness is awe inspiring and I thank you for sharing this with the world. Love the classical music to the video, its almost as if your hands are playing the seamstress keyboard! I love it, love it, love it!!
Angela, your technical prowess and artistic vision are impressive and delightful. I so enjoy your video library. Please continue sharing your seam work explorations!
Hi Angela! I am Brazilian, and shortly a website here posted their dresses, I loved his work and am loving cade again, the dresses that you make are gorgeous! love you!
Beautiful to watch and inspiring as well. You are so professional that I am green with envy. The Bach makes it absolutely exciting! I tried making a similarish bodice once and it turned out pretty well, but then I became too scared to actually put the grommets in! I was so worried that they would mess up all of my hard work. Now I feel slightly justified...but I wish I'd tried it anyway because I never got to wear it due to my cowardice!
I wanted to make a blue cinderella dress for my daughter for her birthday. I gathered all the information for the making of it by watching many videos. it helped me come out with a good dress for her with minimal errors here and there. Thanks for your video. My mother used to stitch a lot for me and my sisters. Pity this source of information was not there during her days. i wish i could attach a snap of the dress with this message
This might sound weird, but I'm making my own wedding dress and this is hugely helpful! I was just wondering, How wide is that plastic boning? Do you use a pattern to know where to place boning channels or do you just know it intuitively by now?
Thanks for sharing your process your work is beautiful I only wish I could sew and make clothes , maybe someday , keep up the good work can't wait for the next video
I realize I’m 3 years late but technically this is just a bodice, an 1860s woman would still wear a corset under this. The boning is just for extra shaping and to keep the fabric smooth but a fully steel boned corset would be worn underneath the bodice.
where did you learn to do all these amazing dresses? Im impressed and inspired, thank you! Also I love the baroce musik. I hope that one day I can create the same dresses as you.
I realize this might seem a bit odd but you really have the loveliest hands, especially given that I know from experience hand sewing leaves you calloused. What is your trick?
I love watching you work your magic and this looks as if it's going to be another beauty. (BTW, I know industrial sewing machines are really noisy; you might consider getting noise canceling ear protectors.)
This girl looks like a porcelain doll and I’m not trying to insult her I don’t mean it in any bad way but she does and I clicked on your channel and omg subbed as soon as I saw what you do.
Maria Mendoza It is similar to me in size, but not exact since it wasn't a custom order. I often have to make slight pattern alterations because of this, but it isn't a big deal because I always make mock ups!
First video i have ever watched of yours....SUBSCRIBED! I happen to like sewing, love classical music, love princess dresses, hate people talking.... lol, so pretty much i loved everything about this video! Are all your videos like this?...guess im going to have to go find out! LOVED IT THOUGH!
Hi. I am new to sewing. Have no previous experience. I am so inspired by your cinderella dress and would like to make one myself. Bt wanted a full length ball gown with lots of flares. Can i make the outer skirt with 25 meter of organza ( for the outer skirt only. Petticoat is not included in this) ? ?
What type of boning did you use? I want to give the bodice of my Cinderella dress the period accurate structured look, but I'm having trouble deciding on a boning as my experience with it is [exremely] limited. This video and it's sequel have been my go-to and I've probably watched them both over a hundred times each. Thank you so much :)
can u make disney princess outfit series? not only the gownball or the original. like the everyday cinderella outfit or belle. XD i really want to see rapuzel dress by you :'
A big Question! I Love the bodige and its halters and its sweetheart shape! Because of My weird measurements i had to use a corset pattern generator, but These pattern Are for a overbust corset only....how do i change the patterns to have a halter bodice like this one ?
I know this is an odd question but do you(or anyone for that matter) know of any vintage events that I can wear gowns of this type. Id prefer if it were somewear in florida or a state close by. Thanks!
You could probably use duct tape around the form or your own body. Once you have your shape, you can cut the tape apart to make a pattern. Might be a bit less expensive than using fabric.
