Wow, I had totally forgotten about Karl Keaton. They played this clip quite often on MTV in those days. I haven't heard it ever since. Thank you for this flashback!
That VCR had a little problem with the recording speed. Also the analog satellite receiver sometimes lost the frequency on its own and had to be retuned. It was not original, but counterfeit. The original ones were very expensive.
With pleasure. I don't know if these shows can be found online. I still have some, very little, from MTV Europe and will probably upload them. Usually I only recorded the music videos, without commercials and VJ talk, to save VHS tape 🙂
@@LotusOmega82 you mean this, for instance, is not a stretched aspect ratio from 4:3 to 16:9 ?ruclips.net/video/73NY_bSbgqE/видео.htmlsi=uhY0e1mYSw-eyFEn In the 90s it was a 4:3 video in SD. Here it is a 16:9 video but SD too, not upscaled to 1080p HD.

Cool :) Thank you for the upload.
Still remember this quality of picture received from satellite and those videotape glitches

@@ArnoldLokman ok 🙂
Thanks! Where can I watch these shows in their entirety? Will there be more similar MTV shows uploaded?
With pleasure.

Why do you always stretch aspect ratio from 4:3 to 16:9? It looks so unnatural. Faces are too wide.
These are the times - wide screen and HD.
Even MTV 80s and 90s broadcast all videos stretched...
@@magazinu1Nope. Zoom and trimming up & down areas of the clip is not stretching.
