Amazing. Totally unexpected technic and result as well. I thought you drew the iris so beautiful! After the dip I was like... what happened to the iris?? Still how it turned out was absolutely gorgeous! It reminded me of parrot tulips getting ready to bloom! Beautiful! Thank you!
@@ArtbySusanKing thank YOU Susan, got up today, did it your way and it turned out good. Thank you for teaching me how. First flower that didn't look like a blob. 😂🙋💕✝🇺🇲 I am grateful to you!! ❤
I wonder if you could use print making paper and wet it with water, then lay it on the plastic and lift off a mono print from that plastic? We used to paint on a sheet of glass then do this with watercolor paper or print making paper to make mono prints. Enjoyed this iris demo. You have another unique masterpiece...
Absolutely gorgeous. I really like the plastic on the frame. I can never got my plastic to go flat on the paint so I end up with a mess. Thank you for the tip.
Gorgeous!!! How amazing the things the paint does under the plastic :D Pure surprises. Also what a good idea taping the plastic to the frame! I have to try that for sure
did u say u mix house white paint w/ acryli white paint for your base ?? could not hear u very good ?? & could I use this techuique on wood, because I'm making a japanese floor divider! & would love to do this on my project?? hope u will say "YES"?? cause it would look great on it thank-u.
Yes, I usually just mix 4 parts Artist Loft Flow Acrylic and 1 part Floetrol and a little water but in this painting I added a bit of house paint to the mix only because I was low on the acrylic paint I think. The recipe is in the description of the video. This technique can be done on wood, yes. Good Luck!
Susan, not only beautiful (truly one of the best I've seen) but incredibly creative. I've never seen that frame idea before ---- I might even be able to do one finally :-))
It is a little difficult for this because the paint on the skin is so thin so I left it on the plastic and cut it around. I don't know what I'm doing with them yet. I have been saving skins for a long time now and still haven't done anything.
I am 76 & I saw your wonderful work of art I am interested inmaking one. However this is my first time.So to start with may I know on what material do you do your painting.thank you
Beautiful painting. Love the way the flower turned out. What do you do about all that wrinkly white paint in the background? Do you smooth it out with a spatula? Thanks for the beautiful job.

the white on the canvas, is it wet just poured and spread or is the canvas painted first then dry before you add flower?
The white paint is wet before I add the flower.

Susan what do you do with the skin and is it difficult to remove?
It is a little difficult for this because the paint on the skin is so thin so I left it on the plastic and cut it around. I don't know what I'm doing with them yet. I have been saving skins for a long time now and still haven't done anything.
