Fire engulfs apartment building in east London

A fire engulfed an apartment building in east London early Monday, sending thick black smoke into the air and sending two people to the hospital for medical treatment. The London Fire Brigade said the fire was reported at 2:44 a.m. and the entire building was affected, including scaffolding surrounding the property and the roof. Read more: bit.ly/3T4rXrH

In the “Grenfell Tower” fire in 2017 where they were so many deaths, the residences were told to shelter in place since the building was made of concrete per the building fire safety plan; now they are told to evacuate. About 500 buildings in the country were covered in the death cladding, and that it would take years to remove them from the building, I guess they weren’t kidding.
