It's strange to me the thought of being cold at Christmas time. In Australia Christmas is all about going to the beach, swimming, fishing and camping. Anyway, Merry Christmas everyone!

Hey Dave & Lefty! So glad you made it to Quartsite. I've mentioned to my husband while we watch your videos that you just don't seem yourself- like out of sorts. I told him I think Dave needs to get somewhere where he can plant himself, get out his big carpet and set up his home. You seem happier already! Chill out and enjoy. Look forward to seeing a new relaxed Dave in your next video :) kisses to Lefty.
A few years back in mid-September, my buddy and me, took a road trip by car, on Rt. 66. Our end point was Albuquerque, NM. We woke up early in New Mexico, it was 40 degrees, we went to a local Walmart for about 30 minutes and by the time we came back out, it was 60+ degrees, blew me away.
David, I keep my keys on a lanyard like they use for ID cards around my neck. I keep it there all the time so I never lose my keys. You might try that with your spare keys. That way it isn't dependent on remembering to switch where you put them.
Thank you for another great adventure 🙏 Would you consider putting in a gps location to some of the locations and trailheads you go to(just leave out your secret locations and you can add it after you leave the area for privacy if needed)a few channels that I watch add them it’s a big help for people starting out ! Welcome back to our Arizona. We had a light dusting of snow a few days ago here in the far east Phoenix valley. But it's warm and sunny again. Thanks for the video ride along.
I recognize the area in the first few minutes of your video as north of Albuquerque, where I live in the summers. Thanks so much for sharing your travels. Very entertaining and informative.
I still have a “Magic” switch on my rig, which I have had a person, not associated with rigs, who found it. So, I will leave it in place, but change the wiring to instead activate an audible surprise, should it be found or used again in the future. Instead I will move my Magic switch for lockout emergencies as I too have had an occasional surprise myself 😉
Glad you made there safely. It's funny how Lefty knows where he's at. It maybe cooler here in Az now, but the sun feels warmer than when I lived in Illinois.

Awww, thanks for giving NM and AZ some love! We will be in Quartzsite at the end of January/early February. We boondock for 5-6 days (Dome Rock Road) and then go to an RV park (after everyone leaves and the rates go down.) I wonder what will happen to the RV Industry as gas prices continue to climb and become more scarce. Campground fees are also getting ridiculous. Such a bummer because I can't retire for another 2.5 years, and we wanted to take our Travel Trailer out for months at a time. Not sure that will be feasible unless things change.
Have you ever checked out senators wash just outside Yuma? Also long term visitors area but better facilities and plenty to see. Senators wash, like quartzite, becomes a small community of its own. And you’re within a few miles of any shopping you can imagine. And, close to Mexico.
Boy, some guys and dogs will do anything to avoid visitors who live near I-40! 😊. We’ll have to make the several-hour trip each way to/from Quartzsite to bother you guys … if we can knock over enough inconvenience stores that deal in sufficient cash to buy gas along the way!
