    This is why learning mandarin can be so demanding. If you try to think of single syllable words and only know one meaning of them, you can get lost in dialogue very quickly unless you understand the context of what is being said.

    i have a degree in bachelors of arts and chinese studies,im currenlty on level 4 of hsk
