@Kyler George thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and im trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
To viewers: I had a Borla Touring cat-back system installed today on my 2016 Challenger R/T A8. It sounds EXACTLY as advertised. The Touring option gives you a pleasing growl that doesn't rattle windows at idle or low speeds, but it lets everyone know you're coming when you hit it. As for drone, I honestly can't say that I hear anything, even when the MDS kicks in (and I took it for a shakedown cruise on the highway). One final note: I bought the system for the 2015 Challenger after Borla told me it should fit on the '16 model. They were right. Fit like a glove. Yes, the system is pricey--but you get what you pay for, and I absolutely love it!
My pleasure. I was a bit anxious about upgrading my exhaust because I didn't want something that was TOO loud and because I'd read so much about drone. I did a lot of research before I decided to go with Borla, and I'm glad I did. Your Touring system is perfect for me.
+John Zrnich That's awesome! It is great to hear that you did your research, chose our exhaust system, and were very satisfied with your purchase. We work really hard to provide our customers with quality products and outstanding customer service. Hearing people are happy with us, is the best reward! :) Thank you for supporting Borla and for your kind words!
Thanks for the review. Ive been looking at the S-type and the ATAC for my 15 challenger R/T. i want something that is loud, but not overly obnoxious that my neighbours don't like me. if the Touring has that growl then maybe i wont go any more aggressive than the S-type. (though i do love the hot rod growl of the ATAC)
I put a Borla performance exhaust (S-type) on my silverado, and it was the most pleasant customer service experience I have ever had with any company. I am a Borla customer for life. I love their products, and I love dealing with them. This is a great video and I will be ordering a Borla for our new '16 Challenger R/T soon!
I had the s type on my 2014 RT classic it was ammmazing but unfortunately I sold the car due to financial issues, I shed tears once I remember it 😭 I was in love with it
I have an automatic also around 65 to 70 mph it has but very minimal and you can hardly tell. Just go manual and there's none at all. Drone Everybody's Talkin about comes with the territory and the Roar that's the sound I thought everybody's looking for. For me I like how it sounds I would not call it drone just a badass exhaust
I just had the touring version installed on my Hummer H2. What a great sound, brings a smile to my face every time I accelerate. Well worth the investment.
My 2012 Challenger 392 has the ATAK cat back system. The muffler is a MagnaFlow 4" X 9" Oval Center/Offset Straight Through Performance Muffler. The car is loud when under hard acceleration and pops loudly when dropping rmp of gears. Not people friendly in a downtown area as it tends to echo badly.
Maybe the best comparison video for exhausts on a Challenger I have ever seen. Really well done. Every one sounds unique but still very Mopar-ish. Did I just say Mopar-ish? Ahh well. Cranking up the sound and watching it again.
I don't know what year Challenger you have but I have a 2014 V8 automatic with the touring system and it drones. I would suggest you do more research and if you are able too, actually ride in a Challenger with aftermarket exhaust and judge for yourself. Don't make your decision on video clips like I did.
Super Blackhawk.44 The exterior sound of the Borla Touring sounds great. It is interior drone noise I have issues with. On normal take off, when the car is shifting into 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears is when the droning occurs and it can be very annoying. It will drown out the stereo unless you have the volume up. Once the car shifts into 5th gear and overdrive the droning dramatically decreases and it does sound very good. If my car was a daily driver I wouldn't recommend Borla but it is a weekend cruiser and I can live with it. The muffler shop that installed mine warned me Borla would drone worse than Magnaflow or Flowmaster. Hindsight being 20/20, I would have liked to have had the Borla quad tips with MagnaFlow mufflers but Borla won't sell just the tips. Take a look at Borla's design for the 2015 and 2016 Challenger and you will notice a J-pipe where the resenators would be. From my research, these J-pipe help eliminate droning. So my question to Borla was, if you claim no droning on the 08-14 models, why the design change for the 15-16 models? The design of the car didn't change. These aftermarket exhaust aren't cheap so go to some forum board and ask questions or go to a good muffler shop for advice.

I have contacted Borla customer service via email and telephone. I spoke to one person who told me he was going to transfer me to another and I should leave a message for him to call me back, which I did but never got a return call. Not going to waste my time being shuffled from one person to another. Expensive lesson learned.
Exhaust are such a tough choice the borla type s is what I want my car to sound like but, want the no drone sound of the corsa. hard to decide the corsas dont sound like a muscle car and are a little to high pitched but only way to go out with the drone, and loud interior sound while driving
I purchased a 2017 charger rt in mid October and had all resonators removed, installed the Borla S-type, and it sounds really aggressive. There’s a little drone, but it isn’t bad since i had the mufflers installed at the rear. If you’re undecided about which one to get, you won’t be disappointed with the S-type. I love the way it sounds...and so does the wife.
I have a 2011 5.7 hemi v8 challenger, and I'm looking for something that's not to loud to me the S type from the video sounds exactly how I want mine to sound. Now I'll be honest Idk much about exhaust, so what would I have to do just buy the s type and have the exhaust shop near me put it on? Or would I have to buy other things as well to go with it? Thanks, any information would be greatly appreciated
I got rid of my resonators and installed Flowmaster ( 2 chambers) in their place. Then I took off the mufflers from the rear and replaced them with 3" angled tips by 18" long... way louder and smoother, not choppy like these.
It's the same for both. You got that big squared thing in the center, underneath, thats the resonator. Thats what keeps your exhaust quiet, removing this alone will give you a mild rumble with your stock mufflers. The mufflers are at the rear, one at each corner behind the tips. We just removed the resonator from my neighbors Challenger. He plans to get a set of MAC's later.
MAXI MAX My 2014 Challenger R/T with 6-speed manual came with 2 bottle mufflers (glasspacks) in the center of the car, and 2 huge chambered resonators at the rear. It didn't have a "big squared thing in the center". Sounds like yours is an automatic with the suitcase muffler in the center.
Touring mode would sound great on my 06 300 Hemi!! I have factory exhaust now and it sounds good when I step on it but this Borla systems would sound much better but I just can't afford it right now. Hell my Minister of Finance won't let me buy $10 socks lol.
I really want to get louder. Everyone complains its loud enough. When I punch it, my RT sounds like a Nascar. If I get an exhaust, I dont want that sound to change, just to get so loud the road shakes. This is why I have not pulled the trigger yet on an exhaust.
@lHaZzeRecon I have a 2011 challenger rt 5.7 hemi v8, Ima be honest Idk to much about exhaust systems and things like that, I like th sound in thi video of the s type, the atak seems to much and a metaly sound if that makes sense lol, if I buy the s type,do I just take to my local exhaust shop and have it put on and it will sound like that? OR do I have to purchase other things as well? Thanks for any information, it's much appreciated!!
I agree, the S-Type has a more deep yet not distorted rumble, though as far as the best engine performance sound...I like the late 70's Trans-Am 6.6L. Check out "Hell's T/A" you tube video. I think you might be impressed.
estorm999 I don't like the sound of any modern corvettes, but that new Z28 is really nice. I think it's the exhaust systems on the vetts that ruin it. I also like a Mustang 5.0 too.
Is it just me or do they all sound the same when inside the cabin (as in not all 3 are obnoxiously loud inside with the windows rolled up) or is cause im not wearing headphones that i cant hear the difference
How sensitive are the engine control units on the 5.7 challengers? Will I need a tune if I were to put Ataks on a Challenger? I know some mid 2000 vehicles, like the 05 mustang GT's would absolutely freak out with an intake and exhaust and people LOST power without a tune.
I have a 2011 dodge challenger 5.7 hemi v8 looking at getting the S type, which part number would you suggest? I like the atak as well, just i like th deep roar over the loudness thats why im thinking the s-type, thanks for any information
Hi! The part number for the S-Type is 140707 and the ATAK is 140708. Please see the links below. We do recommend ordering online from one of our dealers as they'll have the better price. Our dealers are about 10% off of MSRP. S-Type: www.borla.com/products/dodge-challenger-rt-cat-back-exhaust-system-140707 ATAK: www.borla.com/products/dodge-challenger-rt-cat-back-exhaust-system-140708
Hello. Thank you for reaching out! It will all depend on the sound you are looking for. The Touring is only going to be slightly more aggressive than stock. The S-Type is going to be the middle of the road. The ATAK is going to be our most aggressive sound level. It is going to be louder than the S-Type, but the S-Type is going to have a deeper tone.
Save money and get a great V8 sound by deleting those huge chambered rear resonators and replacing them with straight pipes. Most muffler shops can do it in less than an hour for less than $150.
So anyone who has the s type, Do it lose sound with time or do it get a little louder,,, like does it retain the sound from when it was new or does it soften up? If you could do it again would you go for the atak instead? ( also would it be cheesy to put corsa exuast tips on it) lol thanks for your time.
I'd love to put a Borla Exhaust system on my 2015 Challenger R/T 5.7. But will it create any issues for passing emissions tests?? That's my concern. Thanks.
T.R. D If you are getting a Cat back system it will not cause any issues. All emissions gear is from the motor to the CAT. Anything downstream and you're good. I'm pretty sure that they make these systems available in CAT back style. Hope this helps 👍🏻
I have a 2011 dodge challenger Rt 5.7 hemi v8, ima be honest idk to much about exhaust systems, the Atak to me is to loud for what i want, the S Type in this video sounds Exactly like i want mine to sound. So do i just buy the s type and have the exhaust place near me put it on, OR do i also have to buy other things to go with it to get that sound? Thanks, any information would be greatly appreciated!!!!
The vehicle featured in the video only has our Cat-Back systems. Any reputable shop in your are should be more than capable of installing our systems. Install is straightforward and can also be done at home if you have tools and have space to get under the car. You can check out the installation instructions here. We do have an S-Type system & an ATAK system for it though: www.borla.com/products/challenger_sxt_v6_catback_exhaust_stype_part__140649.html www.borla.com/products/challenger_sxt_v6_catback_exhaust_atak_part__140650.html
I hve 2013 RT V8 5.7 L Manual , im intrested in borla atak but need to know that which part of borla atak exhaust suits on this vehicle part #140384 or #140708
Hello. Thank you for reaching out to us! You will need part #140708. That will be the ATAK system for the 2013 Challenger R/T. Here is the link: www.borla.com/products/challenger_rt_catback_exhaust_atak_part__140708.html If you are interested in purchasing I suggest ordering from one of our distributors as they will have the better deal with free shipping in the U.S. You will find links to some of our distributors in the product page. Thank you!
Hi. Thank you for reaching out! Part # 140715 is for the 2016-2017 Challenger R/T. It comes with valve simulators instead of valves to keep the car from throwing a code.
In our testing, on a vehicle with no other modifications, part number 140707(S-Type for the 09-14 Challenger R/T) averaged 93.2 dBs and part number 140708(ATAK for the 09-14 Challenger R/T) averaged 99.4 dBs using the test standard SAE J1492. Please note these tests were performed on a vehicle that was completely stock with the exception of our cat-back systems.
I have a 2014 Challenger V8 with the Borla Touring system installed. I love the exterior sound but even though Borlas claim of no drone, in fact it does drone. If your car is a daily drive I would reconsider going with Borla.
Hi Bluebird 1980. Our systems should not drone. Please call our Customer Service Team at 1-877-462-6752 (Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm PST) and we'd be happy to help you.
Hello. Thank you for reaching out! Unfortunately we do not have a video of the V6 model. You might be able to find videos from customers who have the system and have uploaded a video.
+Faisal Mohammad This is the only exhaust system that we currently have for the 2014 Dodge Challenger V6: www.borla.com/products/challenger_v6_catback_exhaust_part__140482.html
Alright I'm new to the dodge family, and I know this is a stupid question, but I have a 2011 Charger rt and was wondering will the s-type for the charger sound the same as the s-type for the challenger?
Hi. Thank you for reaching out to us. Unfortunately, we only have an S-Type system for the 2009 SRT-8 Challenger. The R/T systems will not work for the SRT-8 as they are different pipe diameters.
@@borlaI have a 2011 challenger 5.7 hemi v8, tbh Idk to much about exhaust systems, I prefer the sound of the s type that's in this video, would I just purchase the s type and have my local exhaust shop put it on? I have this same model, very curious to hear it live. In videos it's hard to tell, but I want obnoxious loud but not crackly.
I just ordered the "s" type. Can't wait..
a set of long tube headers>high flow cats>borla touring is the way to go

Hi! The part number for the S-Type is 140707 and the ATAK is 140708. Please see the links below. We do recommend ordering online from one of our dealers as they'll have the better price. Our dealers are about 10% off of MSRP.

I have a 2013 Dodge Challenger Hemi Automatic, which do you guys think will be a good fit?
I do have challenger 2014 RT and I am about to get borla kit but I am worried.. sorry very worried about the drone!!! Any suggestions please
Fahed K drone isn’t bad at all. S Type
@@colepeterson5205 thank you
should I cutoff the cats and add long tubes headers for my '14 challenger rt 5.7?
Can i get just the muffler???? I have a 1997 f150. I already have a good set up. My flowmaster is just a bit old and quiet
Hi , i got 2009 RT with Corsa exhaust, do you thin buying S type will make any change? Want more agressive deeper sound :) Thnx
Save money and get a great V8 sound by deleting those huge chambered rear resonators and replacing them with straight pipes. Most muffler shops can do it in less than an hour for less than $150.
Did that to my 2011 v6 challenger and it sounds better and louder than magnaflows
I bet your v6 challenger sounds like a Honda civic.
alex paiz V6? No, I have a 2014 Challenger R/T with a 5.7 L Hemi. Deleting the resonators makes the V8 roar as it should.
I was talking about Goj8394 2011 v6 challenger.
alex paiz Oh, well you replied to my comment instead of his.
So anyone who has the s type, Do it lose sound with time or do it get a little louder,,, like does it retain the sound from when it was new or does it soften up? If you could do it again would you go for the atak instead? ( also would it be cheesy to put corsa exuast tips on it) lol thanks for your time.
Just wondering if you guys used a tuner to raise the limiter?
why do we have 2 videos for R/T and zero for SRT? :\
Does Borla manufacture the exhaust systems on the mopar scat package 1? If so Is it the Touring?
song at the beginning?
Who has the atak with headers?? I have system just looking for what headers to use with my system 2016 rt Challenger
Do you have a Borla ATAK that can be put on a 2013 Chrysler 300c 5.7? If so can you link me to where I can purchase it.
Does these exhaust have the resonators still installed?
does anybody know if the sound for the charger would be the same? or would it differ
I was wondering if this s-type muffler would sound nice with my 3.5L v6 2008 dodge avenger? Thanks

S type sounds best

@@borla so the s-type cat-back system is what your saying you have on the vehicle? So that's what I need a link to, thanks for the info
@@TimScottDT The video shows all of our sound levels. The car's only modification is our Cat-Back. The part number for the S-Type is 140707. Please see the link below. We do recommend ordering online from one of our dealers as they'll have the better price. Our dealers are about 10% off of MSRP.

The Atak should fit on my 15 Challenger RT right? On the page it just goes to 14.
Alex Rey There is one made especially for the '15 year model on Borla's homepage.
S-type :)
got another car challenger RT have one for a 2016 atak?
Hi I own a 2015 dodge challenger sxt v6, Can i get the Touring option for this model, if not what are my options ?. thank you
+emdeeeee Unfortunately we do not have a Touring system for the 2015 Dodge Challenger SXT. We do have an S-Type system & an ATAK system for it though:

I hve 2013 RT V8 5.7 L Manual , im intrested in borla atak but need to know that which part of borla atak exhaust suits on this vehicle part #140384 or #140708
Hello. Thank you for reaching out to us! You will need part #140708. That will be the ATAK system for the 2013 Challenger R/T. Here is the link: www.borla.com/products/challenger_rt_catback_exhaust_atak_part__140708.html
If you are interested in purchasing I suggest ordering from one of our distributors as they will have the better deal with free shipping in the U.S. You will find links to some of our distributors in the product page. Thank you!
Available in germany?
Odix / Rainbow Six Siege & mehr
Bei Kraftwerk Tuning.
Can you put these on a 2014 SXT Plus Challenger?
im not sure if they have these particular ones for the v6 models, and they will sound nothing like these. At all.
I have the s type exhaust model number 140715 will this fit my 2011 rt? It’s the newer model with the active exhaust valves
Hi. Thank you for reaching out! Part # 140715 is for the 2016-2017 Challenger R/T. It comes with valve simulators instead of valves to keep the car from throwing a code.
How many decibels does the s type and atak produce?
In our testing, on a vehicle with no other modifications, part number 140707(S-Type for the 09-14 Challenger R/T) averaged 93.2 dBs and part number 140708(ATAK for the 09-14 Challenger R/T) averaged 99.4 dBs using the test standard SAE J1492. Please note these tests were performed on a vehicle that was completely stock with the exception of our cat-back systems.
I want the borla atak but for my 2014 v6 dodge challenger 3.6 do u guys make any?
I have a 2014 Challenger V8 with the Borla Touring system installed. I love the exterior sound but even though Borlas claim of no drone, in fact it does drone. If your car is a daily drive I would reconsider going with Borla.
Hi Jose. Unfortunately we only have an S-Type for the 2014: www.borla.com/products/challenger_se_sxt_v6_catback_exhaust_stype_part__140482.html
Hi Bluebird 1980. Our systems should not drone. Please call our Customer Service Team at 1-877-462-6752 (Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm PST) and we'd be happy to help you.
Is there a video of the v6 version of these exhausts? If so I’m not having luck finding it can someone direct me?
Hello. Thank you for reaching out! Unfortunately we do not have a video of the V6 model. You might be able to find videos from customers who have the system and have uploaded a video.
Can I install S-Type on challenge (V6) the model of 2014 ??
+Faisal Mohammad This is the only exhaust system that we currently have for the 2014 Dodge Challenger V6: www.borla.com/products/challenger_v6_catback_exhaust_part__140482.html
Alright I'm new to the dodge family, and I know this is a stupid question, but I have a 2011 Charger rt and was wondering will the s-type for the charger sound the same as the s-type for the challenger?
Yeah, its the same engine and same specs.
Would the BORLA ATAK fit on my 2009 SRT8 Challenger?
OR would I also need to buy more things to get that sound? Thanks any information would be greatly appreciated, also in your honest opinion ik the atak is more expensive, but what do you think would sound best on my car? Like I said I want that deep roar like the s type but the atak seems just to loud for me. Thanks
