I know this video was made five years ago. But this video was very well put together. From comparing all three different exhaust types. Comparing the exhaust sound from the exterior and interior of the Challenger. Great job on that Borla. I was going to purchased the Scat Pact 1, package. But after hearing the Borla S-Type. Man! What an awesome sounding exhaust. The touring is nice, the Atak, is a little too much for me to bear. But the S-Type, is perfect for my 2014 Challenger R/T Plus. I hope the S-Type, is still available.
Thank you Borla for adding this video . I have spent last month searching and looking for videos on the WEB and "You Tube" aimed to help me out to decide between the ATAK and the S type for my Challenger RT Classic , now I have a clear picture ..Thanks a bunch !!
I have a 2014 Challenger Rt Shaker and I installed the S type exhaust. It sound GREAT. This video does not do the system justice. I love the sound. S type have a deep tone. All I get is thumbs up when I'm driving.
***** I actually agree with you. I have Blastin Bob's straight-pipes on my Challenger, and it roars. Unfortunately it drones, rasps and snorts a little more than I'd like. The Bob's exhaust is great for the money but I'm considering replacing it with the Borla Touring. That mellow roar sounds great but it won't be obnoxious.
I got a really nice sound from my Hemi V8 by just deleting the exhaust resonators and replacing them with short (12 inch) glasspacks. It cost only $160. Or I could have gone with straight pipes instead of glasspacks for even less $, but I didn't want it to be too loud.
For many of u there (RT owners), the S- type is just perfect. It sounds very mean and a bit loud in reality cause whatever it is on this videos it doesn't really show how mean it is. Try to search on Ytube for the s type being installed on other muscle cars like mustang or camaro.
Just wondering if there will be a Out of the box tuner program with diablo tuner. Meaning borla tuning to get the max performance from our borla exhaust .
How loud is the s type from the inside of the car? Is it much lounder than stock? i like the way the s type sounds from the outside but I dont want something thats alot lounder than stock on the inside
If I was going to just buy the mufflers and not the whole kit...these sound like ProXS mufflers...is that not correct? Which part number? 400490 or 40352? Which ones would fit? Please help.
I know this thread is old but I have a question. Was the dyno results was just with a Mopar CAI and Borla S Catback? Any tune or any other modifications?
Does any body know if you can buy the touring mufflers by themselves? I you can get stingers/s type by themselves but I've never found the touring mufflers not as a full system.
+Paul Price Hi Paul. My apologies for the late response... but no, you cannot buy any of the mufflers included in our cat-back systems individually. However, we do have a variety of universal mufflers (www.borla.com/products/mufflers/index.html) and our customer service team would be more than happy to help you find one you like. Please call 1-877-462-6752. Thank you for your interest in Borla Exhaust!
I know your comment is from a year ago but I was looking for the same thing. Wanting the Borla Touring muffler sound but in order to get the sound you have to purchase the whole exhaust kit. It's a shame that Borla does not want to give the customer what THEY want.
Man that Atak sounds just like my old cuda. Sweet!
I agree, sounds like the old school american muscle!

I LIKE THE TOURING
Touring sounds best to me!!! I'm hoping to get the touring system next year
Love the exhaust. Just wish I had a car worthy of it
I have the S Type on my R/T...Love It...sounds mean...but not too much...
Go with the s-type, my friend alex has the ATAK on his camaro and it sounds like to pieces of metal banging together.
The atak sounds like complete garbage

Atak is a bit to much but that S type sounds amazing
s type > atak on any car. the atak is annoying and loud. it's all over the place. the s type is loud too but it sounds awesome.
the R/T already sounds good enough then with borla its a whole new story
Dam those sound nice
When I heard the touring I thought of nothing other than the Vanishing point.
BOLA WINS AGAIN!
BORLA WINS AGAIN!
ATAK all the way!
Sexy, I couldn't afford a hemi. Ain't no shame in my game to have my v6 sound like one, I'm in!
It's all good, you sound sexy that's what matters

Is this the exhaust that mopar rebranded to sell as part of the scatpack 1?

Now do these mufflers have the notches in the mufflers or Oval ended on the mufflers?

Any drone to the Borla s type on a manual rt?
I am trying to install one of these on my '14 R/T but I don't really want it to be insanely loud, any suggestions guys?
