I've always dreamt of joining the army and being apart of a family; a team...
And I tired to when I was 16 ( Iam now 19 and go to college) I failed my medical due to my sweaty hands (hyperhidrosis) although I passed everything else... I would of stopped there, but I cant see myself in any other uniform. I want to join up again. I want to fight; learn new things; work in a trade; do my part to leave a mark on the world. But anyway. Hopefully you enjoy the video.
So after 4yrs of trying to get into the army. I've done MORE than enough....
When i was 16 i got rejected due to sweaty hands, hyperhydrosis.
I appealed and lost. So they told me to sort it with the NHS and come back. So i did. Took a year for the NHS, backwards and forwards with different meds.
Finally they signed a letter that i was fit for service and my sweaty hands wasn't an issue..
The army thought i took too long so they discountioned my application but i was waiting for the NHS...
So i got instructed to make a new one as my old one was deleted by the recruitment center. Turns out they kept my old one. Yet they said it was deleted....
That wasted a year.. So i went to college instead.
Fast forward to 2020 and things started looking good had to go through the application process again. But when i told the doc on the med triarge call that i had sweaty hands but i got a letter saying its all okay from the nhs she brushed pasted it and didn't ask further and the questions were too quick! Turns out they suspended my application.... In total ive done 5 appeals. Ive literally had to appeal an appeal.....
Anyways it got up to the chief med staff. They passed me to glencourse... The doctor at glen course was nice and understood everything, he said that my hyperhydrosis wasn't an issue and i did physical tests and passed... But was deffered due to high blood pressure... Because i was nervous since its took since i was 16 to try and get in...
Anyways got that sorted and 24 hour test proved i had normal blood pressure... Been waiting a month now just for the green light... Just to get a rejection email on my portal due to... Hyperhydrosis... Sweaty hands....
The thing that originally rejected me when i was 16.... YET i have proof, evidence written letters from the NHS proving it was all okay....
Sorry but I've been fucked by the army.
How can i be the best if i can't get in?....
I've wasted 4yrs... Trying for a dream... And getting rejected based on no evidence.... That's wrong. They want people that are air tight, nobody is perfect? I don't think isis give a damn about my sweaty hands.... It's total bs. I know a couple of battle back vets that said the army hasn't gave me a chance. My recruiter Stevie was even pissed off! Because he's been my army recruiter for all these 4yrs just for this result.
So im sorry to everyone who's on here but my dream army career has been shot down to soon. So im going to try for the west Yorkshire fire service instead.

I would keep trying because it’s my dream and I have flat feet but it’s not bad and idk if I could get into the army I wanna join the royal Irish regiment I’m currently 13 and I wanna try get in and I will keep trying you should never give up I would keep fight until u get accepted

@@taskghostforce6962 Flat feet shouldn't be an issue, it just makes running a bit of the pain in the ass. I'm 17 and was acccepted into an American military college and doing ROTC next year. Just shoot your shot and do your best. Stay fit and remember the reason you're trying.

I'm currently waiting on my medical forms from he doctors. How old were you when you were diagnosed with hyperhidrosis? I didn't even think this would possibly be an issue, now I'm a little worried i've seen your comment? I'm 22 and i was 13 maybe 14 when i had treatment for it but it's that little of an issue I forgot to even mention it to the clinician!

@@solarsatan9000 CIWS is technically a cannon. The general definition for a cannon is 20mm upwards. Phalanx CIWS is 20mm. There's also the 30mm bushmaster.

I'm a serving soldier and capita who are the civi contractor for recruitment are abserloute shambles, take this to the MOD public relations and media team it's better then the last year recruitment campaign

Ive tried to join 4 times and its like they're using every and any nit picky excuse to not accept me . it is a fuckin shambles its like the recruitment are letting the librarians and social media brigade take over . i want to join and id prefer it if im being seen to by a real proper soldier and not this pathetic job center receptionist lot. Well done mate! I share your desire to join the British army one day, my uncle was UK special forces too. I can’t wait to join myself. Our flag does not move because of the wind blowing it, it moves from the last breath of every soldier who died protecting it.

Just incredible I am 15 and want to join the army and this sends chills down my back like it's something I can do and is for me unlike the 2019 and 2020 advertising campaign this is high lights the excitement and does not glorifi as much as the actual ads do once again what a master piece.

Northorn 96 yeah man, my mum was the exact same they think it’s too dangerous or will not be a long term career do this, find a role you like on the website then click ask a solider find out what you need to do to be accepted in the role you desire I chose infantry but I would like to do an apprenticeship first so my pathway is going to be Finish GCSE’s > assessment centre > AFC (Army Foundation college) > apprenticeship then phase2 training after which I can become a soldier. Have your heart dedicated and find a career you would like to do. Make sure you find out as much info on it as possible using the website helped me out a lot. Also try to convince your parents by showing them ur enthusiasm and ur knowledge of what it takes to become a solider
i go to a military college and i do get visits from VIPS of the british army and im gonna make sure the next time i see them they see this video cracking job

So I've been to glencourse passed the technical test, maths and English and passed the medical, except ive been defered due to a high blood pressure. I was just so anxious because it means alot to me. So now all i have to do is get my blood pressure test done by gp and then i can come back to do just the run, mid thigh pull, interview and then go home 😎
So my mothers from Bolton and when I visited in December 2015 for my 18th Birthday, I met some friends day 2 of being there. Fast forward to 2017 I was 19 and I enlisted in the US Army as a scout. Cavalry basically, and over there I believe they're called dragoons? Lots of Royal Army soldiers visit my base to train with us. Anyways, my friend ended up joining the Royal Army and that's how I found this on Facebook. Good luck bro you got this. I can get anxious too just work on breathing for that

Haha no way ive been Glencourse last year passed everything except medical, and im joining to do my phase 1 in a few weeks cant wait, i was nervous at 1st but when u go back just be calm and you will piss it 😊

I applied for the Army last year and got rejected on Medical because I broke my hip 5-6 years ago and have 3 pins in my hip. Finding out I couldnt join sucked so bad and still wish I could join. Great video

Though I'm not from Britain, I still see this as something people need in regards to the armed forces. We TELL them what the forces expect, but never show what kind of things actually go on.

Great advert mate, I miss the military so much, was med discharged in 2012 due to injuries received in 2007 ,even though I am disabled and am in pain all day every day I would go back in a heartbeat ,I never recommend the military any more as I am anti war,bit hypercritical I know but it is just the way it is,the military is very woke at the moment and not the same ,pity it had to become so PC

@@taurox5846 that's debatable becuase he can still do apprenticeships with just gcses. So if he wants to involve himself in the royal engineers. He may want to do a trade as an electrician and the qualifications he will get by the end of the training is A levels. Most colleges and universities are for white collar anyway, unless you do stem. So, its not worth going if he likes to do things with his hands and the army will be a perfect fit for him and definitely looks great on the CV.

The german military is kinda a joke to a degree, especially because of the politics. It’s sad, German engineering is a thing which everyone sees in the German military though. I’ll give the Germans that.

Seen your pinned comment, don't give up. Go back and appeal again. Its not the army rejecting you, its Capita. They have done nothing but botch the armys recruitment since they got the contract. I was rejected at 16 for child asthma and appealed twice, went to various specialist appointments to prove it didn't affect me and im now 5 years deep in my army career. Dont give up on it if its what you really want, its a great career with great opportunities.

Finally a worthy Army recruitment Ad!! To my mind abandon the current British Army Ads and the out of touch recruitment agency currently being used by the Army, and just air this across all of the main free view TV channels. If not, then revert back to the “Forward as one” series. 👍🇬🇧

This is everything an Army advert should be. They should let you just to make their adds, with none of that political or religious stuff trash.
The Armed Forces in their current state are a disgrace. They keep boasting about tolerance and inclusivity while still refusing people for minor health conditions. They don't even give you a chance you prove yourself, you're banned for life that's it, no second chances and the appeal process is so we can pretend to be considerate.
