tbh it sounds like an anime opening but from the 2020s. There was rarely ever any hint of metal in anime openings during the 2000s, now it's all over the place

Gotta say, I'm impressed by the vocalist! She's the real deal when it comes to female metal vocalists. She's got the screams, she's got the growls, she's got the cleans, really the whole package!

I've seen Babymetal front row and just discovered Hanabie earlier this year. Those girls kick ass.

Holy fucking shit, you got Yu on vocals. Been a fan of hers and her band merging moon since Anthony Bourdain had them on his show back in the day. I highly recommend everyone check out the live video of them playing their song greyen. It's fucking awesome

@@Aabeeceedeeee Oh the Melodeath project led by Undead Corporation's founder Shacho. Yeah that band is kind of a standby passing project just to release a melodic death metal song because Undead Corporation has shifted to Metalcore and Shacho's really into melodeath so he got in contact with Mergingmoon's vocalist because she's into death metal growls. Also early songs from Mergingmoon have death metal growls rather than metalcore style growls which made sense why Shacho got her as vocalist

Honestly sounds more like Hanabie then Babymetal, because the vocals don't really feel Babymetal that much.
But still a fun track.
This is really reminiscient of Yuyoyuppe's earlier works! (Vocaloid producer who has written/produced a number of songs for Babymetal). Excellent stuff!
Was getting a lot of recommendation of her channel on my Insta, she covers a ton of bands. And now she collabs with Nik. This song slaps. Awesome work.
Saw Babymetal live a month ago, and it was INSANE!!!! Glad to see more people loving them
gonna see them in November (again). glad to hear that you think it was great. saw them as preshow of sabaton earlier this year and the mix was not good at all which led to su-metal having to sing louder and not hitting all the notes which (in my opinion) made the show not fun to watch. hope it's ginna be better now since i fucking love almost every single song they have.

@@beza2889I'd say this; listen to their newest album The Other One and if you're still not really feeling it, then don't go. Their upcoming shows are most likely going to be songs from this album. It's also their most digestible music for those who aren't used to their sound yet.
@beza2889 did you learn about babymetal just from this vid? then i'd highly recommend you listening to some of their songs (especially the new ones) since especially the singing is quite different from what nik did here (niks sound alike is a great tho, just not completely babymetal). if you already did so then it depends on: 1. how much money you have and 2. if you wanna take the risk of visiting a concert you may not like. from my experience songs can bring a different energy live than on the records and thus you may like/dislike some songs live on which you had the opposite opinion before.
if you think there's a chance for you fall in love with this band live then i recommend you to go but still, not everybody (including myself) has the money to go to every concert they'd like to go so if you're unsure and can think of ways to spend that money in a better way than don't.

Supposedly in the 'early' years, in 2014, their first show in the US, in LA, the A/C system broke and after the show Moametal went by ambulance to the hospital, nothing serious, they were performing again as planned a few days later.

Crazy thing before this song came out, I have have been following her on Instagram, like a month ago and she is an insanly talented vocalist, if I remember it correctly she did a cover of, Entombment of a machine by Job for a cowboy, it was soo good!

Good song but not getting any Babymetal vibes from this, It does sound Japanese though. It is missing the strong Su-metal vocals and is dare I say it too chaotic to be Babymetal. I think this illustrates why many of us older metalheads are frustrated with metal, too many songs written to a formula and little to no refinement of the song before it is considered done
So happy to see Yu on this track, great choice of vocalist!

Sounds more like Hanabie than Babymetal. BM's lead sings power vocals, while the backups bring the kawaii, and has a lot of chants/call&response. BM instrumental is also more on the technical and prog side. The instrumentals here sounds more "hardcore", which can be heard more, again. with Hanabie.
Not a fan of Babymetal, but I think they are really opening a new door to metalhead.
As a fan of both Japanese/visual kei and Western metal bands for over 2 decades, it's great but slightly bittersweet.
On one hand, I love the exposure Babymetal is getting, but on the other hand, I hate how many older visual kei, j-rock, and even all-female bands people have zero clue about! Babymetal's guitarist (Leda) used to be in a great called called Deluhi.
@@disthymia6929 Not everyone in the west will find all these other Japanese bands, but Babymetal put a new wave of attention on Japanese rock/metal music so Babymetal is definitely a positive.
