@@211jump Petr Barna's SP was definitely more musical than Petrenko's, with much better footwork, and Browning's was more creative as well (although he had major mistakes that dampened it).
@@Zuranthium good presentation artistically? He nearly got perfect marks for artistic impression so the other guys will had to try to outperform him in the technical area...and they all fell and stumbled as a result.

When they say that no man representing a former Soviet Republic has won the gold, um, surely this was the first Winter Olympics since the break up of the former Soviet Union? Not like there were decades of guys trying given this was the first opportunity...

He didn't mean no former Soviet had won since the USSR disbanded. Of course we now know that all but two of the Olympic champs since this time are former Soviets: Petrenko, Urmanov, Kulik, Yagudin and Plushenko.

He wore almost similar outfit when he won his bronze medal in 1988.
This is what made him win. This alone kept in 1st place. This was pure perfection and in my opinion deserved a couple 6.0's It was beautiful.
