Life In Recovery I told you about me being clean for 15 years...I also relapsed many many many times b4 having success.. Your remind me of Prince Ea with today's video. It is the worst feeling ever when you relapse. You're words have much wisdom. so glad I subbed.
Life In Recovery hey dude, im a british infantry soilder. ive been to iraq at the age of 19 and fought and to afghan and really fought hard in the battle of true good and terrifying evil and have had my fair amount of experiences that have changed my life for the better and worse. I was a typical soilder that drinks but didnt realise I was heading down a very dark and dangerous path untill I woke up in what I can only call a crack den or at least a place that resembles one and said to myself what are you fuckimg doing to yourself brother
, get a grip. I was diagnosed with ptsd and a chemical in balance in the brain which I had been suffering on my own just like many other womem and men had and still are in silence. I have not touched cocane or beer like I was every day before for 8 weeks now apart from two small set backs that have onky made me stronger and more determined to gey as well as possible. I watched this upload and could relate to alot of what you said well all of it was playing close to home.
thankyou for sharing your story and I would love to swap emails so I can start to help people and soilders in Britain, because unlike you our colony brothers and sisters dont have many youtubers that touch on these subjects.
many thanks
The recoverying Brit

I was 10 months sober and relapsed recently. The repercussions are awful. My access to my daughter has become supervised again and I have a long road back to getting her on my own again. Your speech really helped motivate me today. Thank you so much!

How are you doing I'm coming off klonapin. I'm scared more than iv ever been and iv detoxed from just about every drug there is. But benzodiazapine withdraw is the worst in my opinion. I hope your doing great I seen you posted 7 months ago.

My problem is my hangovers are just anxiety and depression now. Also, Im a highly functional alcoholic. I got trashed almost every night this semester and passed at the top of my class. I was 1 of 12 people who passed. I dont understand it. But Im thinking if Im this talented while being a lush, I cant imagine how much I could accomplish sober. Thanks for the motivation. Ive quit before, but I need to make it permanent.
+50Shades OfKek good luck! Thanks so much for sharing and subscribe if you are able to!
50Shades OfKek quit dude you’ll accomplish way more man there will be way more motivation
I am so happy I found this video. I have been clean from drugs for over 3 years now, but lately the fight to stay sober has been becoming harder and harder to keep control of. I have become angry with myself and started taking it out on everyone I love. I spoke all day with my wife trying to figure out why after 3 years are my demons waging war against me. So I started looking for some kind of motivation to get me thinking positive again. This has really helped, I know it's still going to be a fight but it's one I will continue to win with any help available. Thank you for all your words you spoke in the video. Tomorrow is a new day and a new opportunity to get back my happiness.
Thanks Trey. I have been watching alot of these alcohol reduction/cessation videos, have read multiple books, tried different techniques eg- drinking sparklimg H2O with lime...none have worked. I have form too- detox inpatient twice, narcotic (pills and heroin multiple times), NA and weekly counselling.. but i still struggle. Im 44 yo now. I feel that i really am coming to a turning point and as you say (amd i say many many times...you can't stop trying). Today is a new day. Im sick of the battle. I am super fortunate i have kept my job in health care and i gym 4 days a week (often picking up 200ml of vodka on the way home)...such a contradiction and feeeling like such a fraud.
Im going to do this...I want to succeed and have done it with other hard drugs.
Thankyou for your insights...this is why i liked NA- other peoples suffering isnt at all pleasant, but it is reassurimg we arent alone....i have actually ever done alcohol WD- Narcotics and benzo WD is hard as fuck, insomnia for weeks and i already get nightmares- with or without medications... but that me.
Last thing, i have met melanoma and have responded really well to treatment- i feel disrespectful doing these things and having such apathy life...especailly seeimg people in my clinic who didnt make it..yet here i am...almost tempting my death...i feel shame.
Thanks for reading and good luck to you all working through this....
Bro your speech literally got me in tears! I am a musician as well, also a trumpet player and was a music major in college. I now feel lost and feel like I’ve lost so much because of my stupid addiction! Your words were on point and I strongly identify. Thank you sooo much 🙏🏼. Your speech was amazing. Ima apply it to my everyday life. Thank you so much bro!
I hope you're doing ok
God bless you brother. I'm caught in it now and I'm ready to quit it all and get control of my life again. I'm going to be watching you often. Appreciate everything you do.

I am 31& stay alone, have been drinking since i was 17. All these years I was a weekend binge drinker. Last year I quit my job to start my own business, since then as I had more free time, the drinking has gotten out of hand. In past 3 months I have been drinking almost every day, flopped on my new business(Not due to alcohol). Now I have to look for a job as I am running out of my savings, more due to alcohol. Stuck in a vicious cycle of drinking until late night & spending the day in regret, due to which I haven't been able to go for interviews. Really need to sober up before its too late...Thanks for the video, love from India
+Kuntal Sarma thank you so much for sharing!!!! I wish you the best of luck and understand it all! You are very welcome for the video! Stay safe! Subscribe if you get a chance!

Sheesh dude great inspiration right here. I’ve been a little over a month sober and yesterday I got the urge but beautifully didn’t give in and I was feeling kind of crappy this morning thinking about the good times I had on weed and alcohol so I needed some good insight from a person that isn’t close to me so I figured I’d go on RUclips and found this video. Very happy right now man. Thanks for this. Much appreciated
Watched this video 3 months ago and led me to attempt recovery. Took a month of trying on my own to check into a program. Today I have 60 days and wanted to come back and watch this again. Thank you for your video. Life is so beautiful. 33 years of drinking and the last 60 days have been so freeing. The 1st time I watched your video I was in tears and broken. Watching it now for the 2nd time I am in tears again But feeling free and hopeful. A huge thanks from Joe in Utah
wow thats so amazing! Glad it helped you! Subscribe if you havent Joe!
Awesome! This is giving me the motivation to face my addiction now
Thank you brother. Im battling addictions right now. Your story picked up when I felt like I was nothing. Thank you. I'm going to try again and do it.
You are so welcome! Thank you so much for the comment, please keep in touch, and please Subscribe if you haven’t gotten the chance!
Going on 7 months! I needed to hear this on my way to work, my brain seems to be telling me I can handle using drugs and drinking from time to time when I know I can’t thank you!
You are right when you say we are a host to our addictions. I have never thought of it that way before. I’m 44 days sober today. I am better for having my addictions as long I continue on a daily basis to confront all of them honestly and openly with courage.
I’ve longed to achieve so much more to the point of beyond what I can dream of achieving. (God’s plan for me) that’s what I want now to live out.
Through getting my arse into the AA program on a regular basis I’m now a real chance of real spiritual growth which I’m starting to finally walk new ground in at the age of 38.
God bless you all to get honest with yourselves in your addictions.
Get a support system going for yourself with accountability which is AA.
I look forward to seeing you in the 4th dimension of spiritual sobriety. 🚀
Very proud of you brother. I am 60 and have never had a alcoholic drink in my life after being born a Alcoholic to two alcoholic parents.20 lashes with a strap to a child from alcoholics is not a nice thing. I have never been with a woman that drinks and never will because of this. Alcoholism is not a disease it is a weakness. No one needs it - I am living proof -60 years off no Alcohol and only ever smoking fresh air.

+Kunal Patil thank you so much!
Great stuff! I've been making a major effort to stay sober and be positive.
Unfortunately, I relapsed last week after getting pulled over for the first time in my life.
Let my guard down for a minute... Got a bullshit ticket. Afterwards, I drove straight to the nearby gas station to buy beer because I was so pissed at myself.
But, that was one day and now I'm back to sobriety.
I'm a long-time subscriber. Keep doing what you're doing!
+XHellXGeistX thank you so much for the comment and thank you for being loyal subscriber! Yeah it's amazing on how something small like a ticket will bring us to relapse as if it's worth it! You have the right attitude! One day at a time! Keep in touch!
Life In Recovery I will, thank you.
you are very welcome!
Was it worth it? you got pulled over because the law saved you from saving yourself from killing someone my child.
XHellXGeistX I’ve been there buddy it’s hard man relapse is a part of recovery though still it is no excuse
I celebrate 3 weeks
+___andrei ___Caamano __ heck yeah!!!!

Today I’ve realised that I wanna Change life. I’m still young, I’m only 18 and I’ve been using ketamine atleast 4 to 5 days a week for over a year and I’ve lost a lot of connections with friends and family due to this habit and it kills me to see myself push them away just because of this one substance. I hope I can follow through with this because I wanna make the most out my life and not let the ketamine make my life. So I do thankful I’ve stumbled across this video. God bless you man
Wow Thank you so much for the comment, please keep in touch, and please Subscribe if you haven’t gotten the chance!
Hey man this video really touched me. I’m in absolute tears rn man. Thank you sooo much, you are a true inspiration.
I'm currently a substance abuse counselor and I just went through your list of videos. Your topucs cover a wide range! I will def. be showing some of these to my alcohol group!
+Veronica Tovar wow it's an honor for you to share! Subscribe if you get a chance to!
I remember my first year of college, flunked all my classes and eventually dropped out because of alcohol. I chose to get drunk instead of going to class or to get homework done. Every night I would drink until I pass out and wake up with a hangover and eventually do it again. I still drink today once a week or so but I will stop. Like you said , “ alcohol makes life harder”
And that’s so true.
I’m back in college and currently two years in. Two more years to go for my bachelors degree.
I know if I continue alcohol, I know I wouldn’t be able to get it.
This was simple yet really powerful, thank you for the video!

MY BROTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im sturggling so muc
Keep your head up! I struggled too! I relapsed hundreds of times before i got it right!
Me too. I relapsed too many times to count, but I eventually got it
Relapse is all part of the quitting process. It's never considered starting over. It's just part of the process. If you do drink, do not have regrets, and don't be harsh to yourself.. Just resume the pace... You will do it..
Keep tryin ..plzzz keep trying

I’ll say that I have a problem with bing drinking. Addiction is definitely is my genetics. While I’m not physically addicted I feel as though alcohol drives my anxiety and depression. I’m a very driven person but alcohol takes away my drive. I’m choosing today to stop drinking all together. I can just tell that if I keep drinking it will get worse. I’ve already let it slow my progression in life and I don’t want to let it ruin it. I really appreciate your video.
I cried seeing this video. I’ve been drinking on and off for years but got overwhelmed the other day ready to end it all by drinking my life away. I blacked out and didn’t think I was alive anymore. I know that drinking isn’t the answer plus I just had a baby I don’t wanna be a bad Influence I wanna do better. I’ve been sober for 4 days and still struggling with the tremors and night sweats I never gotten to this point at all.
This video saved my life and am here to thank you bro. May God richly bless you.
Gotta keep fighting the good fight

I had an automutilation addiction in combination with alcohol. I beat the first addiction years ago. It's tough that the scars, my deepest secret is visible for everybody. I overcame severe depression against all odds (I was very depressed for over 20 years). I'm trying to beat the second addiction now and I'm on day 3. Even though I overcame so much, I also had an ovarian tumor when I was 25 I was deadly ill, I still don't feel like a winner. I really hope I will some day. Life is really tough, but I will stay positive and tryin to make something of my life. Thanks for sharing your story.

Wow thats so amazing! Thank you so much for the comment, please keep in touch, and please Subscribe if you haven’t gotten the chance!
I just whatch this video and it really helped me understand. Everything became so clear
The reason I'm saying this is because I'm addicted to play video games (funny right) you taught alcohol and drugs are the only thing that can stop you from working harder, wrong. So decide not to waste another year, second of my life, I'm going to wake up from this nightmare tonight. I don't even know why I commented this, I just wants to get better, live mi life in the moments I guess.
Thank you!
Well done, young recovery JEDI!
Thank you for your words of encouragement
thanks for sharing, i quit xanax 2 years ago, it's still a struggle at times though, especially because someone in my family is prescribed it. somedays i just want to take it, but i know i won't and it helps encourage me to see people like you.
Ive come to the point where I’m over alcohol (day 5) Methadone day 20 something. I have been having trouble with the Clonidine dosage, either not enough relief or too low blood pressure to even lift your head. I watched Trainspotting the other night and the end scene where, he said “Choose Life” so powerful...
Thats so awesome Steve! Keep it up! Thanks for the comment, Keep in touch, and Subscribe if you havent!
I have a boxing match and I'm quitting everything Friday, I too have relapsed over and over but again this fight is a rematch as with the fight/boxing bout I'm having Sept 22nd, please send me love because I need to win the battle with myself, thank you, great talk. I have a little more hope in this darkness. I'm quitting all of it and I mean it's a long list. I must, I shall and I will.
I wish you only the best! Congrats on making this decision! Thank you so much for the comment, please keep in touch, and please Subscribe if you haven’t gotten the chance!
So far so good bro! rough day though.
Damn. Mine was waking up everyday with regret. Alcohol has no problem letting you know. I got a little tear when you said how many times you relapsed. Truth. All it takes is one time.
I’ve had that so many times, regret
@@Cognitoman Iv been sober 1 year and 1 month now. Thought I was gonna drink till I was dead. I was so close to death. I was 113 lbs till I got help. Now I’m 152lb feeling great l. We do recover. Stay up my friend

I was drinking heavy since 21, I’m 28 now. Drank virtually everyday for the last 5 years. Combo of depression, anxiety etc. Lots of bad shit happened and constantly told myself I’d quit daily but that demon kept fucking with me. Finally quit; 29 days now and have NO intention of even taking a sip. I wake up at 5am everyday, have lots of energy, I work out and I’m more appreciative of life’s subtle beauties.
Wow Congrats on 29 days! Keep it up! Thanks for the comment, Keep in touch, and Subscribe if you havent!

I quit drinking alcohol in 2012 but have had a handful of slip ups since. The longest I had sober was 2 and a half years and then I drank for a week or so before getting myself back into meetings. Today I am sober and although I dont have as much time I also realize the time I spent sober was not time wasted because I was living healthier and taking better care of my body. I also realize that time is not the most important as my mind state and where my heart is at. I am determined to focus on my recovery everyday and asking God for his guidance and for him to show me his will and to make me an instrument of his love and peace to help others going through what I have. The alcohol is only a symptom of my real problem. Its not a drinking problem so much as a thinking problem. It is a spiritual problem. Our body, spirit, and mind are all intimately connected. One of the hardest things for me in sobriety that is also very important to my recovery is getting close to other people. I have seen people come and go I have seen people die and I have seen people recover. Its hard to feel again but its also exciting and I feel like I am getting another chance to live life as if I am being reborn.I am not turning away from my past or shutting the door on it. Alcoholism took my life away for a long time and recovery has slowly helped me build it back up. Some days and some nights are still really hard but I will keep my heart open even when the world can seem so cold because I know I have made it this far and I know I can keep going with God's help and the help of other recovering alcoholics.

Wow man. I wished this video would never end. Thanks, needed the motivation tonight. Off to Rehab on Monday, my own decision of course. Going to be hard for my family (loyal wife, 2 year old son and 3 week old daughter), probably harder for me, but entirely worth it. Thanks, and I'll be updating you in 21 days. Hugo

Man that ATIVAN really helped with the leg kicking, plus it knocked me out at least 5 hrs. Finally sleep. I went to the beach today, Swam in sea, sun bathed, listening to Double - Captain of Her Heart, lol, beautiful girls in bikinis every where, I actually forgot I was in withdrawal until I came home. I brought no alcohol back either I smoke pot but I plan to give that up soon well as I could lose my licence in a RBT drugswipe., more so it is something that will potentially hold me back, plus I will have money to go out to meet girls and make new buddies. Seems more appealing than me wasting my life watching movies etc.
Awesome man!seems like a good time! And yeah kicking the weed may help in the long run! Good luck!
