  • I documented my scalp oil testing journey over the span of a couple of weeks and here are the results with comparisons. I think it's important to note that when you're testing out a product, you should try to ensure that you're not testing out multiple products simultaneously. I also have learned from self-experience that you have to give products time to actually see results. Let me know if you've tested out any other scalp products below.

    I started having the same problem with my scalp. I now wash my hair once a week,deep condition with herbs, oil my hair, apply a natural cream leave/in, twists and im done. During the week ill spray some hair tea I make thats good for my scalp, lightly dab oil on scalp and ends of hair. So between the weekly washes and the herbs, my scalp is living its best life.
    Oh… one more thing. The oil for your scalp should be light. Something that will absorb. Not coconut oil. Coconut oil is a wonderful sealant so use that for your hair, not scalp. Try to stay away from the butters too. My scalp hates it. Too heavy and it irritates my scalp.

      Love your routine! And my scalp hates coconut oil too.

    Hey Girl! I had the same exact issue with my scalp. I also stopped using all oils except MCT oil. That's the only oil that I use now.

      I think you're the second or third person that has mentioned MCT oil. I'm definitely looking into it. Thanks for the recommendation!

      @@locsandthecity you're welcome! Also, I haven't had any flakes or itching since I switched to the Nizoral and MCT oil combo.

    I’m a new subscriber by the way and I have that same scalp issue with my locs and I really want to try this oil out to see if it works for me because I have used and bought so many different oils for my scalp throughout my almost 10 year loc journey I’m ready to stick to one oil and that be it and I use that one oil forever . Great video 👍🏾👏🏾🤗❤️

    Beautiful Locs! Beautiful Skin, do you mainly use the Buttah Line?

      I always use their Oil-Free Hyaluronic Gel Cream for moisturization and LOVE IT (I've bought it 6 times), but I haven't tested many of the regular products yet. I just got the Vitamin C Serum and am excited to see how that goes!

    Now that this video is 3 months old, do you still feel as though this is beneficial for your scalp? Are you still using the same oil? Have you noticed any changes to your locs (slippage or more frizz? Thank you in advance!

    • @locsandthecity
      @locsandthecity  6 месяцев назад

      I've still been using the oil regularly and haven't had any slippage! My scalp has improved immensely! My hair has been a bit softer in general and is naturally prone to frizz, but I haven't really noticed added frizz. I'm on my second bottle!

    What's your skincare routine?

    • @locsandthecity
      @locsandthecity  6 месяцев назад

      Most of it is skin products from Buttah by Dorian skincare. I use the facial wash, the vitamin C serum and switch between the Shea butter Moisturizer and the lighter oil-free Hylaronic Moisturizer depending on the weather. The Shea butter Moisturizer is very thick and moisturizing.
