Wellington Paranormal is a series that follows the two cops, Minogue and O'Leary, investigating paranormal cases around Wellington. It's a lot of fun. The series based on this movie is also really great, it just wrapped up the last season. Both series are definitely worth watching, it's in the same mockumentary style.

The series follows the misadventures of gentleman-turned-pirate Stede Bonnet (Rhys Darby) and his crew aboard the Revenge as they try to make a name for themselves as pirates and cross paths with famed pirate captain Blackbeard (Taika Waititi).
I love Taika Waititi's sense of humour, he has a way of showing horrible stuff and make it funny at the same time his other movie that I love JoJo Rabbit is also very funny at times but also touching and heartbreaking.
If you take Thor Ragnarok on just the bare bones, it's a horror. Man reunites with brother, who has deposed their father, the king, finds father, who immediately dies, then their sister shows up, tries to kill them both, the brothers get sent to a prison and forced to fight for their lives while the sister goes to their home, kills all of their friends, and takes over their home. 18:24 in most vampire movies and stories, they can’t eat regular food at all. In this movie and in the series if a vampire eats “human” food they projectile vomit.
Some fun stuff to explore, if you get the chance, related to the film: *This movie (which initially began as a 30 minute short before being adapted into a full fledged film) has a fantastic show with a phenomenally talented cast & guest stars, involving the same creators, that just completed a 6 season run on FX, also entitled "What We Do In The Shadows", same premise, different set of vampire housemates (primarily located around New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania), but set within the same world as the original film. Plus the soundtrack is incredible, and Matt Berry, one of the show's stars, is a gifted musician with a distinctive speaking & singing voice (he has this baritone sounding tone when he's speaking, but his singing voice can go high tenor). *Also of note is a spinoff show, "Wellington Paranormal", another comedy series that ran for 4 seasons featuring O'Leary & Minogue, the same officers who investigate at 20:57. Again, same world as this film, but as the title states, covers the wider gamut of paranormal lore, myths, creatures, events, and activities, treated in a similar documentary style but also poking fun at shows like "Cops;' and "The X Files:. And both shows have appearances of other characters you see here, played by the same actors. *In June 2014, Taika Waititi (VIago, as well as a noted comedian & director, see "Thor Ragnarok:, "Thor Love & Thunder", "Jojo Rabbit" and "Hunt For The Wilderpeople") , in conjunction with Discover New Zealand, produced a promotional short film titled Vampire's Guide to Wellington, in which he reprises his role as Viago von Blitzenberg. Jemaine Clement & Taika Waititi (respectively Vlad & Viago( are frequent collaborators and have worked together writing/creating/producing on some other recommended shows, "Our Flag Means Death" (pirate comedy show) and "Time Bandits" (based on the classic 80s scifi/fantasy adventure films). Their solo work is wonderful too. For Clement must sees are "Flight of the Conchords" (based on Clement's music/comedy act with Bret McKenzie, who is also know for playing Figwit in the :"Lord of The Wings", a character that was initially nameless but later credited with a name based on the meme phrase "Frodo Is Great,, but Who is THAT!?!?", due to being so pretty as an elf.) and "Legion" (stars Dan Stevens, based o Marvel comics character whose power level is similar to Wanda Maximoff/The Scarlet Witch in that they're Omega level mutants who can warp reality, as well as both being children of other powerful mutants, at least in the cannon of the comics, Optimally, in my personal opinion, you can watch both quality series consecutively as "Legion" would be considered the flip side of the same coin "WandaVision" is on). For Waititi show contributions, I'd highly recommend "Reservoir Dogs" (dramady with a primarily indigenous cast set on an US reservation), "The Mandalorian: (easily one of the best Star Wars series) and "Interior Chinatown" (comedy action series set in New York City's Chinatown). *Another great vampire comedy series recommended that just completed a 2 season run is "Reginald The Vampire" with Jacob Batalon, who is known for playing Peter Parker's best friend Ned in the MCU, primarily in the Tom Holland :Spider-Man films.
Blood clotting is really complicated, and people with haemophilia (about 400 are born in the US every year with the condition) lack the ability to produce one of the proteins that makes blood clot quickly, so even small cuts bleed for a very long time. When I was a kid, I had a neighbour whose younger brother had it; he fell over while we were playing and skinned his knee, and wound up in hospital for 2 days, because even when it did clot, because it was on his knee, it would tear open again when he moved.
In Europe, it was nicknamed "The Royal Disease" because many members from various royal families had it, including Alexander Romanov of Russia, who famously was "cured" by Rasputin. Alexander was perscribed asprin which made his blood even thinner, making him prone to passing out, and Rasputin stopped it.
The actor who made Stu, it's actually named Stu, and is IT. He though he was going to have a small role. Taika Watiti even asked him not to do any acting classes so his performance would be natural.
You NEEEEEED to watch the series!!! It is ridiculously hilarious! The series will take you that far and deep on a journey into the franchise, you will very likely forget which direction you just came from [metaphorically speaking].
If you want to watch a fantastic show starring Taika Waititi (Viago), and Rhys Darby (werewolf leader), they co star in Our Flag Means Death. One of my favorite shows. It's very short - only 2 seasons of 10 episodes less than 30 minutes each. Absolutely worth your time! ❤

Alexander was perscribed asprin which made his blood even thinner, making him prone to passing out, and Rasputin stopped it.
dude, dealing with daylight is so extra. the night just feels right. 🧛♂️
Five seasons of a brilliant TV show followed. We need a watch along series.
There is a spin-off tv show called Wellington Paranormal, and it's tremendous. It's about the two cops - Officers Minogue and O'Leary - in a sort of cross between the X-Files and COPS. It's so funny, and weird, and...Kiwi.
“Who’s Seal..?”- Kiss from a rose Ashleigh!
You heard the outcry about not watching the original Oceans 11, but did you hear the even LOUDER outcry about not watching more Buffy..?! Please please please go back to it! 🙏
That said, glad you liked this movie, the show is ingenious & even better! Taika is a genius.
And for more Taika, you now NEED to watch Jojo Rabbit. A comedic WW2 movie (I know right?) where Taika plays Hitler. Easily the best movie of the last like 10yrs. There is nothing else like it. Also, has Scarlet Johansson.
Holy shit! I’ve been away and you left me freakin magic to come home to! I’m so god damned excited to kick my feet up and watch now! Yay! Thank you 👍
This was one of those movies that caught me off guard when it first came out. Absolutely love this movie
One of my favorite movies of all time. Taika, Jemaine and Rhys are my favorites of course. ✌🏻👩🏻🦰👍🏻
One of the few movies, where i like the german movietitle better.
"5 Zimmer Küche Sarg" - translated "5 Rooms Kitchen Coffin"
And you HAVE to watch the show!
There's a spin off show based around the two cops that investigated Petrys death, it's called Wellington Paranormal and is very good.
the serie is even better
There's also a spin-off series about the two police officers called "Wellington Paranormal." It's kind of like "x-files" plus "Cops" Highly recomended for anyone who liked this movie.
This director also did a fantastic movie called "Boy. " Another recomended watch.
I was just recommended this series the other day and just watched the trailer for this movie yesterday. What a concidence that you are posting this today lol. All signs point to yes...
🤩🤩🤩This film is amazing! The TV series is even better!!
YAAAAAY....I've been waiting for this one....now we gotta watch the series next
Thank you, I needed this today, of all days.
The tv show follows a different bunch of vampires mockumentary style. Really worth watching
One of my favourite films! And you will love the series just as much, if not more!
22:00 - if you like the police officers, there's a whole series with those two as the leads, called Wellington Paranormal.
I’m glad you finally got to watch this movie. One of my favorites. Watch it 7-8 times a year.
I"VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!!!! One of my favorite movies!!!
At the heart of it, this film is about friendship and loyalty.
I love this but I love the new series too! Hilarious 😂😂😂😂
