Devin, the new technology is great. Believe me as a DJ I benefit from it well but what you fail to miss when something starts small and grows enormous like hip hop is the culture gets strained. You lose a lot because when its huge, everyone can join in and it waters down the art. nothing will ever top two turntables, a mic, and a crate of records. That Serato mess got wack DJ's sounding good and they think they are good but put them on some techniques and they are lost. Check out Cash Money at the DMC in 1988 on youtube. He is blending and mixing with records better than most of yall young heads on Serato.
