Still cleaning the car, It’s an absolute mess inside. I spoke to him afterwards. In the video you can see I jerked the car left hoping to give him time and it worked. He was cool about it and said I wasn’t close to him since he was slowing. Wish he had video, that would have been interesting to see.
Of the three swaps that are most common on these cars, D, B or K, this is the most difficult only due to some cutting and welding. If you go to Vtec academy the swap was documented there.
Wow! That could have been a big moment in the wrong spot. Thankful you had the room! You run the integra brakes, right? I also noticed they weren't up for the task over time after my B18c-R swap.
Spoke with Wilwood and FastBrakes. Solution is 3 part right now. 1) Rebuilding calipers and installing their ThermaLock pistons which should reduce heat transfer from the pads through the pistons to the fluid by at least 25%. 2) installing titanium shims behind pads to further reduce heat transfer from pad into piston and 3) going from Motul 600 to 700 fluid. Going to also place temperature stickers on calipers and thermal paint on rotors so we can get a clearer picture of max temps. If rotor temps show to be high will look at scoops or ducts. Just not a lot of room in there!
Sorry to hear that it’s a blast to drive. Here we just have to go through roller emissions testing every two years. As long as it has the emissions parts it did and passes the roller tailpipe test you’re good.
Awesome run, sorry to hear about the brakes. Looking forward to seeing where it goes.
Thank you and we will be at the December event at the same track. Parts ordered for the brakes to hopefully address this.
Good shit bro I’m proud of u
Thanks! Will have more too come
I can taste the dust from here. Looks like the Cayman (I think it was a Cayman?) was on the ball and managed to avoid you sliding across the track!

Nice brain. ✌🏻🇳🇱
Glad tou got it done... i woulda loved to run mine 1 time...
Got to do it. Look for track days in your area. NASA has the monthly in most places
How was swapping the engine? I hear you have to do a bit of welding? Yours sounds very good, nice build!

Yes, pucker factor was high at that moment, I’m on a fastbrakes big brake kit. Wilwood Dynalite calipers, 11” rotors, and Hawk HT10 pads.
@@1stGenCRXs oh dang, that's a great setup. Maybe just not getting enough air to the brakes then. I'll be interested to see what changes you make!
