Great discussion this week! Crazy this person is able to run for any office. But, I’m sad to say I don’t believe the Supreme Court will abide by “originalist” rule, as I believe they should, and have been stating with Dobbs an other precedent. They shift with the wind.

The insurrection argument gets, I think, to the bigger issue with the Jack Smith J6 case, the J6 committee and impeachment, which is: the inability of Trump opponents to untangle the Capitol riot from the post-electioneering. Which was the insurrection?
Both! Trump used the capital riot as a 3 hour window for Giuliani to call lawmakers attempting to get them to throw out the electoral results. Technically the fake elector scheme is the real subversion and why he’s facing charges.

You all seem to be devoted to a very old legal system which obviously doesnt apply in 21st century world. Why is that?
Why do you think it doesn't apply in the 21st century? What are you advocating instead? It is not an especially old system as legal systems go. The oath based trial system used in England in the middle ages lasted nearly a thousand years for example.
It makes lawers rich. Maybe thats what it is about. So sad. So corrupt.. Dont you all realise that Trump supporters are (ignorantly ) convinced that he loves them. Obviously he cares less. But you rich guys (lets face it) need to work towards a more equitable society.
