Winters new year’s resolutions are actually really good. Shows self awareness and keeping yourself accountable. Not enough people do that.
I 100% agree with not being ready to buy a house. Having a house is a huge accomplishment but also a huge task. Not everyone wants that responsibility especially if other parts of their life is already stressful. People need to allow others to be okay with what they’re choosing to invest into. It’s your coin girl.

People who don’t actually own homes don’t understand there’s way more to it. Pluming, air conditioning, washer dryer, electriccity goes wrong etc you have to pay / fix it yourself. Landscaping, cleaning, it’s a lot & personally as a woman, would never want to live in a house without atleast another person with me because of all the work/security reasons. Our AC unit went out in our house & we had to pay $15,000 to get a new one no front office to call lol all ourselves 🙃🙃
You definitely need credit and a credit card for sure! Also at least $20k-$30k in savings in case of emergency!

I’m lowkey codependent too but I moved to a new city after graduation and don’t have many friends here so it’s taught me how to do a lot of things alone. Going to the movies alone is my favorite thing to do, and I’ve just started getting comfy going to brunch alone

I damn near do everything solo and at 24 it’s thus far the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. Solo dinners weekly, movies, vacations , everything !! Highly recommend and once you start you’ll never go back

Chy I recommend buying big ticket items like a couch and a tv stand from fb marketplace. Definitely have to buy the mattress new though. Just have to try to catch a good deal.
People will always find negative stuff to say about stuff that excites you going on in your life. It’s my first day in grad school and I have told 3 people because people are going dig for something negative to say. Some might not find out until I’m 3 months in.
